Moving to New Hampshire Count Down: 1 week 2 days

Ruby never came back to my room after she said she was "going to the bathroom". I didn't see or hear from her the rest of the day. I understand why she did that. I'm actually okay with it.
I think I'm going to leave with out resolving whatever is happening between us. Oh well.

Moving to New Hampshire Count Down: 0 days

So far, no word from Ruby. We woke up at 5 am to make the flight to Jackson. We have to take a second, smaller flight to the closest city to where we're moving. My dad chose this location because it's close enough to the city but we don't have neighbors for a quarter mile. Joy. I'm in the middle of fucking nowhere, alone and tired. 

"Sky, you really should set up your room. You're starting school soon and it would help to have a place to study."

"Dad. I have to wear a uniform. I'm sure there's a huge library where I can study. I'm sure that some other straight-a student would love to help catch me up." I turned around and headed to the back of the house. 

The house was large enough. It had one main floor consisting of a living room, dining room, kitchen, and two bedrooms with full baths attached to each. The laundry room was downstairs. There was also a extra room and family room downstairs. There are hardwood floors on the entire upstairs save the kitchen. The downstairs had tan carpet.

"Dad. Why don't I take the extra room downstairs. There's a tv room down there that we can use as such and you can use the other bedroom we your office. Then we could each have a level."

"Maybe."

"Well, we should decide now so I can unpack in the right place. I don't want to take every thing out and set it up just to take it down and do it again."

"Fine. You can have the room downstairs."

I smiled. I knew he was going to let me. Somewhere in that cold heart he feels bad about moving me. His heart isn't that cold I'm just angry with him still.
