Back to School Count Down: 4 days
First days are difficult for everyone. The first day of Freshman year was hard for me. Sophomore year, way, way, way worse. Junior year, however. This will be interesting. After what happened in the past two years, I'm ready to just be a normal kid at a normal school doing normal things.
Maybe, I'll join year book club or something boring like that. It's not that I want to be normal or boring, but I can't take anymore commotion. I'm done.
My dad took me back to school shopping and we got new shoes. That's his tradition. He gets all his kids (me and my brother) new shoes at the start of every year. He's trying, without my mom here, it's difficult for him. My brother went with me to get all my school supplies. He got stuff that he needed for his community college classes. This will be his first year of college. Alister is a handsome, brown eyed boy. He's only that. He looks 14. I think he had a girlfriend in 7th grade. Not since. He's dorky and adorable and I often feel like his older sister, not his younger one. He seems excited for college. I think he'll do just fine.
I would have some kind of back-to-school party, but who would I even invite?
