Girlfriend For Rent

[ Chapter Thirteen ]


Patrice Nielle's Pov.


"What's this?" Sabi ko sa nakaharang na malaking box sa tapat ng pintuan ng condo ko. Anlaki lang talaga ng box, mas matangkad pa siya sakin. Nakabalot siya ng red glowing wrapper tas may black ribbon. I poke it. Para siyang gift box na dambuhala. Ano namang ginagawa nito dito? Imposible namang akin to. O posible ren? May nakita akong card na nakadikit sa box. Kaya binasa ko yun. "Open me. I was wrapped for you. :)" wrapped for me? Akin ba talaga to? Eh bat anlaki? Aaaaish. Bubuksan ko na nga lang! Akin naman siguro to.

Sinira ko na yung wrapper at binuksan yung box. And to my surprise someone is inside the box! There's a man wearing a black suit with a black mask infront of me. "Hiii! Ms. Salvacion right?" Tanong nung lalaking nasa box.

"Yeaah. Kilala mo ko?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

"Oo. And... Surprise!" He pulled me closer to him and made me smell the handkerchief he's holding.

After that, everything went black.



Jules' Pov.


"Sir, nandito po si Mr. Perez." Sabi sakin ng sekretarya ko.



"Papasukin mo."



"Sige po." At lumabas na siya.

"Well hello, Arrevalo!" Bati sakin ni Drake Perez pagpasok na pagpasok niya sa office ko. Isa siya sa mga board members ng AGC. Umupo siya sa visitor's sofa ng office ko at nagsalita. "Tapos ko na yung pinagagawa mo."

"Good. Nasaan siya?"



"Edi nandun sa kung saan mo sinabi sakin kung saan siya dadalhin."



"Gising na ba siya?"



"Hindi pa yun! Pinaamoy ko lahat ng pampatulog eh! HAHAHAHA!"



"Siraulo. Osige, eto na susi ng condo ni Janella, be sure to take good care of my little sister. Kung ayaw mong tumabingi yang ilong mo sa sapak ko." Sabi ko sa kanya at hinagis ang susi na sinalo naman niya.



"Isa ka ring siraulo eh noh? Bat ko naman sasaktan kapatid mo eh mahal na mahal ko yun. Tsaka hindi pa nga ako nakakapagsorry sa ginawa ko kahapon eh. Pero thanks bro sa susi! Ge una na ko, ipaghahanda ko pa ng dinner yung kapatid mo." Sabi nito at iwinagayway pa ang susi na hawak at umalis na ng office ko.



I finished my report and saved it. After that, I turned off my laptop at tumayo na sa swivel chair na kanina ko pa inuupuan.



Lumabas na ko ng office at pumunta sa desk ng secretary ko.



"Marie, cancel all my appointments today. I have some important matters to do."



"Sige po sir." Sabi nito at nagsimula ng magdial sa telephone para i-cancel lahat ng appointments ko sa iba't ibang clients.



Sumakay na ko ng elevator. I pressed the 1st floor button. Kailangan ko pang puntahan yung pinareserved kong pagkain sa resto ni Blake.



And I also need to... Shit! I forgot to buy some sweets! I need to go to the sweets shop immediately!



I went back to the elevator and pressed the 18th floor button so I can go to the parking and get my car to go to the sweets shop near my company. I checked my wristwatch. I still have 1 and 30 minutes to go bago siya magising. Kaya ko pa to.



I get inside my black porsche car and started the engine. I drive as fast and safely as I can to go to the sweets shop. And after 10 minutes, I arrived to the destination I wanted to go.



"Bluezel's sweets shop." I read the sign of the shop I'm going to enter. Lumabas na ako ng kotse. At pumasok na sa sweet shop.



"Goodmorning sir!" A girl in a blue dress greeted me once I enter the said shop. "Going to buy some sweets for your girl?" Tanong niya at sumunod sakin.



"Hmmm.. What kind of sweets does she prefer sir?" Tanong niya pa ulit at sumunod pa rin sakin habang tinitignan ko yung mga tinda nila.



Andami nilang chocolates at iba pa. Hindi ko alam kung anong gusto niya. What should I buy? "Is she fond of white chocolates or dark ones?" Tanong pa rin nung babaeng sunod ng sunod sakin.



Lumakad pa ko at sumunod pa rin siya. Ugggh. Para naman siyang buntot.  -______-



"It seems that you and your girl fought. Lovers quarrel sir?" Tanong niya at ngumiti pa sakin.



"Look. I know that you work here. But please don't follow me wherever I go. I get awkward okay?" Sabi ko na dun sa babae.



Pero nung naglakad ako ulit, sumunod pa rin siya. Uggggh! What's wrong with this girl? Hindi naman siguro soya bingi at nakakaintindi naman siguro siya ng english dahil kanina niya pa ko ini-english di ba?



"Hey, I already told you not to follow me. So can you stop following me or else I'm going to report you to your manager." Sabi ko na naman dun sa babae at nginitian niya lang ako.



"My name is Bluem Arcega sir. I'm the owner of this shop. And it's my pleasure to help you. Don't know what to choose, right? Well, I prefer that you should buy the triple truffle chocolate or the forgive-me-knottychoco." Sabi niya at ipinakita sakin ang magkaibang box ng chocolate. "These two are one of our bestsellers. And these chocolates are one of the most chosen chocolates of our clients who wanted to say sorry to their love ones." Explain pa niya at binalik na sa kinalalagyan yung dalawang box ng tsokolate. "Pick what you think will suit the girl you'll going to give the chocolate to and what she really deserves to have." Sabi nito at ngumiti sakin saka pumunta sa counter kung saan nagbabayad ang mga customer.




Tinignan ko yung dalawang tsokolateng sinabi niya sakin. And choose the both of them. At bumili pa ko ng dark chocolate para kay Janella. Janella is my younger sister. And after picking the chocolates I'm going to buy, I went to the cashier. And saw again Bluem. Inagawan niya naman ngayon ng trabaho ang cashier niya. Kanina ang inagawan niya ng trabaho eh yung saleslady nila tapos ngayon yung cashier naman. Baka mamaya ang agawan niya ng trabaho eh yung guard nila. Aisssh. Weird girl.




"Choose the both of them sir?" Tanong niya sakin ng makita ang pinamili ko. Hindi ko na lang siya pinansin at tinignan na lang kung paano niya ipina-punch ang item na binili ko. "Sa susunod kasi sir, iisipin mo muna kung masasaktan yung taong mahal mo o importante sayo bago ka may gawin na bagay. Kasi mahirap kapag nasaktan mo yun taong mahal mo." Sabi pa niya habang nilalagay na sa plastic yung pinamili ko. "Sana sa susunod na pupunta kayo dito sir hindi na kayo bibili ng tsokolate para gamitin niyong props para magsorry. Sana sa susunod na pumunta kayo rito eh bibili na kayo ng tsokolate para ipanregalo niyo sa monthsary o anniversary nyo." Sabi ulit niya at inabot ko sa kanya ang bayad ko. "Sukli niyo sir oh. Goodluck sir! See you next time?" Nginitian niya ako at inabot sakin ang plastic ng pinamili ko at ang sukli ko.



That girl is one of the living proofs that girls are really talkative and annoying sometimes, but being like that makes them special. More special than an expensive diamond in this world. Because being talkative makes every girl adorable. And with that, I went outside of that sweet shop. I glanced again at the signboard of the sweet shop I've entered. I'll never forget this sweet shop and it's talkative owner. She somehow reminds me of Patrice Nielle's insanity. And speaking of her, I need to say sorry to her. I looked again at my wristwatch. 1 hour left. Need to go to Blake's resto.



I once again went inside my car and drove to Blake's resto. I hope I won't get late.
