"Blindfold?" asked Katelyn disbelievingly. Zane had just told her about the blindfold thing. "What? Blindfold? What for- Why the heck...?"

Zane handed her a blindfold. It was light gray. He had a black one. He shrugged, and explained, "It was the most colorful one I had. I also had dark gray. But..."

Katelyn snickered. She asked, "Don't you have anything else? Or do you not ever get anything else? I don't understand why you like gray so much..."

Shrugging, Zane shoved his own into his pockets. It wasn't his problem that he liked darker things better - color was annoying. Katelyn laughed - Zane had the funniest expression on his face. It was a cross between a scowl and the expression of a constipated duck.

"YAY!" yelled Aphmau, running outside her house to where Katelyn and Zane were standing. Zane jumped as Aphmau started squealing. Aphmau yelled, "I'm so excited!!"

"I'm sure you are," muttered Zane as she jumped around. Then he groaned. "What have I gotten myself into? Trust? Blindfolds? Sun? AARGH! Why in the world did I even think about agreeing to this? I... can't. No.... ARGH!"

Just then, Travis arrived with Lucinda. He threw Katelyn a smile, which was brutally refuted with a dark scowl. Travis tilted his head cockily and smirked. Katelyn flipped him off. Zane snickered, and Travis threw him a wounded look.

"Let's gooo!" someone yelled, swooping down in a swath of pink. Kawaii-chan grabbed Aphmau and Katelyn by the arms and attempted to pull them along.  Travis, Lucinda, and Zane hung back a little, trying to avoid the excited pink fluffle.

Aphmau randomly called out directions to Kawaii-chan, whose excitement had not flagged even once. Katelyn had broken free and was walking behind Aphmau and Kawaii-chan, who were discussing various attributes of the activity.

Katelyn fell in step with Zane as they headed toward wherever the activity was being held. Hopefully the blindfolds weren't a big part of the activity.

"The park?" asked Katelyn, a few minutes later, when they arrived. "This is funny for a number of reasons... Also, who here is allergic to grass? It makes me itchy..."

"I'm allergic to sun," Zane volunteered, scowling at the sun. "I don't like it and it DOESN'T LIKE ME! ARGH! It's so bright today! I hate it... The sun is shining and I hate that."

Several passersby, presumably here for the activity as well, threw Zane weird looks. Zane scowled at them darkly, and they looked away. Kawaii-chan started pushing everyone toward where the most people were gathered to start the activity.

"Hellooo, everybody!" the speaker suddenly said, mike crackling. "Today we are hosting the Trust Exercise class for all of you antisocial people out there-"

He continued, but Zane couldn't hear anything because Katelyn, Travis, and Kawaii-chan were looking at him and laughing. He scowled and pulled up his collar. He wasn't antisocial, he just didn't really feel the need for friends.

"...And I trust that all of you have your blindfolds! Great! Split into pairs and have one person put on the blindfold. Okay, five minutes to do that, everyone!" the speaker continued instructing. Aphmau and Kawaii-chan immediately paired up.

"Mm, Travis, come on," Lucinda called, Travis following her, trying to convince her to wear the blindfold. Lucinda was heard saying, "No, you wear it, Travis! I'm not going to wear that..."

Katelyn poked Zane. Zane grabbed her wrist and pushed it away, shrugging. Katelyn pulled him over to a relatively people-free area and announced, "You're wearing the blindfold."
