Chapter 38: Preparation and Making Fun of Zane

     Plans were being finalized and invitations sent out. Kawaii-chan was really excited - she hadn't seen Michi in a while, and wondered how she was doing. After Michi's ship ruining plan... the one at the fair... Kawaii-chan hadn't talked to her much.

     Katelyn and Zane were really nervous, because they didn't want their plan to fail. This couldn't fail. It had only been four days, and Vyas had already tried to break into Zane house SEVEN times. SEVEN. TIMES.

     Seven. Freaking. Times.

     She'd also tried to hug him too many times too count - but, to Katelyn's delight, she was rejected each time, with loud protests and ill-disguised disgust. Vyas was rather relentless, and was seen with several mutilated stuffed animals (or maybe they were real animals, there was no sure way to tell).

      "Katelyn-sama," Kawaii-chan came barreling into Katelyn's room, and blocked the door with your body. She'd just finished sending the invitations, and had to confront Katelyn about something.

     "What," Katelyn asked, giving Kawaii-chan a sidelong glance. She hadn't told anyone about the staged breakup. If anyone asked, though... "If this has to do with your SHIP, I don't want to he-"

     "Katelyn-sama! Something is wrong," Kawaii-chan interrupted, planting her hands on her pink-clothed hips. "Katelyn-sama has been moping in her room EVER SINCE the party, and she doesn't ever come out except to take baths and use the bathroom!"

     "First, I'm not moping," Katelyn snorted. Kawaii-chan gave her a look, and Katelyn gave up. She conceded, "So maybe I'm moping. What's wrong with moping? Besides, what ELSE do I do with my life?"

     "Go to Zane-kun's house! Or do something! I mean, Katelyn-sama is still welcome at his house, isn't she? It's not like Katelyn-sama and Zane-kun broke u-" Suddenly Kawaii-chan broke off.

     "You realized it," Katelyn grimaced. In reality, her 'moping' was hiding and texting Zane, who was trying to convince her to tell someone who could delete the video. She hated lying to Kawaii-chan, because and ONLY because it meant a whole lot of tricking her and Zane.

     "Oh, no!" Kawaii-chan wailed, swooping onto Katelyn and giving her a hug. "Why would Katelyn-sama and Zane-kun break up?"

     Katelyn couldn't keep it to herself any longer. It was to frustrating. She couldn't even go over to Zane's house to explode crackers everywhere!! 

     "Kawaii-chan, if you keep your voice down, I'll tell you something," Katelyn hissed. Kawaii-chan immediately nodded and clamped her mouth shut, covering it with her hands.

     Katelyn sighed. She didn't want to have to show Kawaii-chan the video.

     "Look. Zane and I... are not exactly... broken up - SHUTUPDON'TMAKENOISE," Katelyn finished with a single breath. She gave Kawaii-chan a meaningful look. Kawaii-chan tried to suppress her fangirlism.

     "Eep!" Kawaii-chan let escape a little squeak of fangirlism. She flapped her arms.

     "No, shut up," hissed Katelyn. "But we can't tell anyone because I was forced to break up with him. Shut up, let me explain. Remember the Gene/Aphmau thing? From high school? Well, now it's the Michi/Katelyn thing."

     "No!" Kawaii-chan gasped, horrified. How could Michi do such a thing? "Michi-kun would never... Katelyn-sama! Wh-Why didn't Katelyn-sama tell anyone?"

     "Shut up, and let me explain!" Katelyn sighed in response. Kawaii-chan was SUCH a fangirl... (She holds no candles to author-kun) "Look, I don't remember exactly what happened, but I know it isn't what it looks like. If I willingly touch that dirtbag ever, I would remember. Then I would ask someone to kill me. But look."
