One Month Later

In December in Florida, you know one thing you don't that you don't have to worry about? Snow. It's out of the question for the most part, at least where I used to live. However, when you decide to move to another state such as New Jersey, snow is an ordinary occurrence.

"Snow is the greatest thing on the planet. How do you guys not appreciate this every winter?" I ask as we exit Ethan's car. Yeah, even when it snows we have to go to school. Crazy right?

"I guess we just start to get used to it after a while," Ethan chuckles. "But I do have to admit, you make it look like it's the greatest thing in the world."

"Because it is the greatest thing in the world," I assure him. "Snow is one of those delicacies that people in the south love to get because then they don't have to go to school."

Ethan grins at me and reaches down at my mitten-covered hand. "Wow, you really might be the dorkiest girl I know. Hello Kitty mittens?"

"Hey, it hasn't snowed in Florida in a long time. These were the only ones that still fit," I say, pouting my lip. "Then there's you that is so used to the snow that he doesn't even need mittens."

"That just means that I'm the best," Ethan smiles.

"Well, that's not fair, because I'm pretty sure I'm the best," I point out to him. He reaches a hand up to my face.

"Yeah, you really are the best," Ethan says softly. He goes to lean in for a kiss but is interrupted by a loud voice coming out of nowhere.

Ethan and I both spin around to see Aaron standing a few feet away with his arms crossed. "How are you guys not dating yet?"

"You just have to ruin the moment, don't you?" Ethan asks with a sigh.

It's true. Ethan hasn't told me what he wanted to do with our relationship. In my opinion, we are dating without the title. It's like he's so scared to call me his girlfriend. I haven't even asked him about it because I'm scared whatever we have is going to end.

"Come on, we have to go to class," I roll my eyes at both of them.

"Oh hey," Ethan calls my attention, wrapping his arm around me, "do you want to come to my place after school and film a video with me and Gray? Today's Monday and we need something for tomorrow."

"Yeah, sure. What are you guys planning on doing?" I ask curiously.

"We've got something up our sleeves," Ethan grins devilishly, causing me to raise an eyebrow.

"And you call me the dork," I tell him. He just laughs and basically drags me to my English class.

The rest of the day goes by well, and I can't bare my excitement to finally film a video with the twins. I've never realized the brightness that lights up their eyes every time they film a video. That kind of brightness is something indescribable, something that not everyone can feel.

I go to my house first in order to change into something more comfortable for the twins' house: blue jeans and a thick sweater ought to do the trick. When I run my hands over the sweater, there are a few wrinkles and dust attached, but I'm sure no one will notice. Hopefully.

I look around my room for a scarf to go around my neck. New Jersey is really cold when it snows. I hear three raps on my door.

"Cara?" I hear my mom call out. I turn around to see her and Dave standing there. "Did you call your father back yesterday?"

"Actually, as a matter of fact, I did. He really wants me to meet Will, Grace, and Penelope. I go to school with Will, apparently," I tell her. She smiles on her face.
