I walked to the hide out passing trees splattered with frail kudzu. Crunching along the rock ridden path, I slowly made my way there. I had gone here since 4th grade. The path wound up towards a hill. The bald hill shone bright in the sunlight. I walked onto the bald, void of trees. My first stop was here, before the hideout. I outstreched my arm, opening my hand, reavealing my palm. My bony arm started glowing an awkward red glow. I stopped. The feeling was next. The one I had felt in school after gym. I decided to countiue, to feel the same sensation. To do the exact same, except get past the flame erupting from my hand. I want to see what will happen.
I concentrate on pulling energy into my right hand.
A burst of fire erupted around my hand, making my hand hot. I starting attracting the fire into a ball at my fingers. The tounges of flame slither in and out, to and fro. They slowly concentrate into a molten ball of orange and red energy. I pull my hand up, rising it to my eyes. The light shines white, red, yellow and orange, creating dancing shadows upon the trees. Then it hits me. How and why is this happening? "Ahhh!" I scream throwing my arm out, trying to let go of the fireball. It glides like a pitch in softball towards the trees. A large plume of fire erupt, seeming to be a wave of molten lava. The trees burst into flames sending ashes around like a hoard of locusts. My mouth gapes as the forest before me turns to black dust. I scream again, turning around and heading toward our hide out. Right where the fire is headed.
