When I woke up, the world was a mess. Ice and trees were scattered everywhere. Jacob was nowhere in sight. Emily was practicing with her fire powers. I tried to move but I couldn't. I felt encased. I wiggled and squirmed but nothing budged. Then I looked down and around and saw what I was encased in. I pack of plants, surrounding me the way the shell of a seed protects the seed. "What the..." I murmured. Emily must have heard me because she turned around and laughed. "Haven't you figured it out yet?" She asked gleefully. She chuckled and said "You control plants and nature. I control fire and lava." She paused. Then she scrunched ip her face into a sour frown. "And Jacob controls ice." I laughed. "Ha. As if." I really feel I should not have said that. I think a struck a nerve because she looks at me with a death stare. Sometimes I really like her as friend, but sometimes I really hate her.
She shrugs and continues. I pull my hands back, displacing the biomatter. It all shrinks back into the ground. I gasp and my mouth drops. "Woah," I murmur. Then I crawl out of where my encasing was and look at the ashen tree beside me. My heartbreaks. The tree is black and lifeless. It has fallen and die, like a man having a heartattack. I move my hands pulling grass and weeds from the ground. They surround the tree creating a thick layer of green lively moss. I conduct the tree back into place. I clap, causing the moss to filter off, reavealing the brown and green tree. It's beutiful. The tree didn't budge or move at all. I turned towards Emily, who was looking at the tree. She smiled. I smiled too.
