I'm still on medium terms with the imposters. We've agreed on a trade. I help them locate their precious 'Jacob' and they realease me from this prison. My so-calles prison is a vine ensnared in my armor. I have a plan to start my intial escape. I have to wait though. I'm currently leading our 'group' to my agency, E.I.A. While there, I will pull a section of ground encasing my enprisoners, and I will morph into the ground, leading to my escape.
"Turn left onto Argon Street." I called from my vine. We weren't far away from the building. Just one more street. "Then when we reach the end of the road, turn onto Terramine trail," I said to Emily and Chris. They were speaking in hushed notes. I decided to ask Chris to put me in front, for I was lagging behind. He said yes and urged the vine forwards.
I did get to hear what they were saying, a great pro in my asking. "-and if she betrays us?" Emily asked. I blushed. That was not good, for they may have figured out my plan! "I doubt she will." Chris answered. I breathed a sigh of relief. At least one person was as intelegent as a damp rag.
"Chris, think sensibly. She appeared out of nowhere, probed us, then attacked us! Now she may be leading us to our doom. Who knows... Maybe you could be right. I don't know." She bowed her head. "Without Jacob, I'm lost. Chris, you're not much better either. He was our leader-" She murmured the last bit "-and he's gone. I-I-I started liking him more. He always stood up for me." There was a pause. Then I turned around. I took in a deep breath. I really hope nobody in close vicinity records what I'm going to say for later use.
"I'll help okay?!?!" I yelled at Emily and Chris. "I will help you find Jacob! Stop, just stop crying..." I looked at Emily straight in her I. She was pleading silently. Her eyes were small orbs of sadness shining in the light of sunset. "I'll help. Let me help please." I pleaded. " I've never felt any emotions for anybody before, I was engineered for a cause! Used as a worker and a troop." Chris let his vine shrink back, dropping me onto the sidewalk. Plip plop. Plip plop. My tears splattered on the sidewalk. I vowed to never tell that truth. I swore it. I broke that promise. My emotions were genetically engineered to not appear, to not be apparent in my works, actions, and commands. How was this possible? Then I felt it. It felt like my mind was multipling. It was one. Now it was two.
Then it felt like my body was...splitting. Like I became an actual creature, living and breathing, while before I was a machine, fit for use, but unfit for living.
I could feel emotions. I could do whatever I wanted. I could be whatever I wanted. I felt like a normal elemental. This feeling didn't last long. But I stayed a normal creature.
I turned towards Emily and Chris. They were wide-eyed and curious. "I am Glenda. An earth elemental. An actual human."
