When I saw the fire, I was frankly shocked. Then Emily was running from it. Chris and I went to go get her. The flames were eating up everything. I was 5 feet from her when I heard a tree crash. She grabbed me and I said "Get behind me." She nodded. I looked around, closed my eyes and concentrated. Before I knew it blasts of blue surround the trees, dampening the fire. I turned seeing the fallen tree by Chris. Chris! He was on the ground and out for the count. "Chris!" I screamed and whipped my hands toward Chris, blasting ice at the tree. I suddenly felt tired. "Hurry. Emily, Chris is by that tree. Go get him." Emily looked at me. She frowned, obviously not happy with what I told her. "Go!" I yelled at her. She unwillingly ran to Chris. I fell to the ground. Holding myself up with my arms and legs, I screamed. A large shock of pain riddled my body. I fell unsteadily towards the ground. "You are weak, youngling." A voice whispered in my head. "Stay where you are and we can be strong." The deep voice crooned.
"No! I am Jacob, not a pawn." I whispered. Another shock of pain rolled across my back making me yell. "Disobey and die..." It said. I don't know what to do. Should I say yes? No? Then I feel a stab through my back. I look at my right shoulder and see a purple crystal emerge, accompined by some blood. I hear screams and "No!"s. Then I have the erge to attack. To kill.
