At the barn

It was late at night when the three finally made it to the barn. "You'll be staying with peridot in the barn. Lapis stays around the silo if you want to visit her or something" Steven said in excitement as they reached the barn. To Steven's surprise lapis was there practicing with the lake him and Peridot made. As they walked up Lapis immediately grabbed Steven. The blue gem looked petrified as she made a hand out of water and grabbed jasper. "Steven run!" She said as Jasper started struggling nervously looking pissed. "Lapis no its OK she's not a threat let go of her"Steven said looking from one to the other. "Steven that's insane she's tricking you". "No she's not the crystal gems told me it was OK". "Those crystal idiots wouldn't know what a threat was if it hit them in the back! Steven I'm just looking out for you". "I know you two have had a very rough past together but trust me when I say I think she can really change just give her a chance". "I gave that annoying friend of yours a chance I can tolerate her but this monster is beyond my trust I could never even think about giving her any sort of chance!". "Well I am so let her go Lapis!". "But-i...Steven!". The 14 year old boy gave her a serious stare that was very rare to see from his joyful character. "Fine!" Lapis said throwing Jasper into the barn hard. The blue gems wings came out and lifted her in to the sky in a whisk of fury. Steven ran over to Jasper as she sat up and giggled a little. "She's feisty"Jasper spoke in a slightly flirty tone. Stevens face went from worried to laughing. "Yeah you'll get use to her going off like that she's doing it a bit less than when she first got here though". "What is going on in here " Peridot ran in looking concerned and angry all in one. Then her eyes came to Jasper. "What is she doing here?" She said calmly looking mildly amused."she's joining the crystal gems!!!". "She is is she" Peridot said walking over and holding out her hand "congratulations". Jasper grabbed her tiny hand and picked her up by it. "You got so small"She said with a mean smirk. "Hey put me down now" Peridot demanded as she began to squirm. "Jasper pit her down that's not how you be nice to people". "Gee sorry I was just getting a better look at the runt". "So were is she going to stay?". "Well your going to share  the barn with her Peridot". "Very well but we will split it off because I don't feel comfortable sharing the whole barn with her". "She's not going to harm you peridot she's trying to change". "Yeah" Jasper replied neutrally. "Well I'm going to leave you two to it" Steven said as he left the barn with lion. "Are you really going to change?". "Maybe". "Hmm..."
