this chapter isn't very eventful and is basically a filler, but the upcoming chapter will be quite fun I think!

let me know what you'd like to see in the next chapter and what you think of Zayn and Rose's rocky romance.

“Niall…you have to go.” I whispered, accompanying him to the car door where Louis and Liam were patiently waiting.

He dropped his rucksack to the floor and wrapped his arms around me tightly, “I’ll miss this.”

I planted a small kiss on his chin and prompted him, “Go.”

Niall slowly retracted his soft arms from around my waist and ruefully looked back at me, kissing my cheek softly. I looked behind me to see that Rose and Cara had followed behind with their boyfriends.

“Geeez Olivia May, it’s like you actually want to get rid of me.” He chuckled and I fluttered my eyelashes, “Why do you sound so surprised?”

Niall laughed again and I finally allowed myself to watch him walk away, giving him a long wave and placing my hand to my cheek, where I could feel the ghost of his kiss.

It wasn’t until they’d gone when I felt a tear slip down my cheek.

After a meal that night, I watched Rose go outside for a walk. Need to clear my mind, she said.

Cara had gone out for a movie with her family before her brother left again.

Some of the staff here at the hotel had went home, whilst others were cleaning up downstairs.

And me? I was sitting on my bed with my knees to my chest, digging into the blankets with my toes.

Niall. I thought.

It was strange how one word could be the whole meaning behind my existence – I was a nobody until he came along; and as much as he told me no, Olivia, I would never tell him that it was thoughts like this which made me realise just how small I was without him.

There were some things I would always keep bottled up: little reminders which belittled me and made me remember who I was.

I turned on my side and looked at the plain wall, a dull blue.

And all I could hear was Niall’s voice lulling me to sleep slowly.

“I just wished that…I wished that I could spend more time with you; Olivia May, you have no bloody clue how much I miss you when I’m on tour.”

I smiled although I could feel those blues setting in slowly.

It was then that I drifted into a fitful sleep; lucid dreams fabricated by haunting memories.

“Bye, mum.” I hugged her goodbye as I stood in my secondary school uniform outside the gate.
