Two weeks later...
"Peridot? Are you OK?" Steven asks, concern in his eyes. "When will he come back?" Peridot asks, holding Calvin's gem in her hands. "Well I remember when Pearl was impaled by her hologram and went back into her gem for a week" Steven says, ruffling his hair "but maybe it's because he's also part human as well, that's probably why it's taking so long". Peridot stayed silent for a while, looking like she was about to cry. "Cmon, it's a beautiful day, and you need some fresh air" Steven says, trying to cheer up the gloomy mood. "Gems don't need to breathe Steven " Peridot stated. "I know, but it's nice to get some fresh air, even when you feel sad" Steven says, smiling his great big smile. "Ugh, fine" Peridot grumbles, putting Calvin's gem back on the pillow and walking outside. Peridot sat on the grassy field, the summer breeze ruffling her hair a little. Steven then sits down next to her, enjoying the late afternoon sun "see? Isn't this nice?" He asks. "It is nice" Peridot replies "can I ask you something? ". "Sure, what is it?" Steven asks. "When Calvin kissed me, I felt weird. Its like I didn't want that moment to stop, and even before that he made me happy every time I was around him. So my question is, is there something wrong with me?". Steven stared back with that same happy star look in his eyes "Oh Peri! " he says in a happy tone. "What? Is there something wrong with me?" Peridot asks, worried about whatever type of sickness she thinks she has. "Nothing is wrong with you! You are in love! " Steven says excitedly.
