(I heard that the number 13 is unlucky... Let's read and find out, shall we?)

Joel stood in shock at the door way. He didn't know how to respond. Morgan stood uncontrollably, she waited for Joel's reaction.

Joel opened his mouth.
"What?!"
Morgan jumped back a little. She gave a small smile.
"I'm the biological mother of Alanis."

Joel went in shock again.
"But, why... How.... What..."
Morgan cocked her head.
"I'm sorry Mr. Smallbone, but may I come in? I really don't want to speak where someone could catch us."

Joel nodded.
"Right, please come in."

Morgan nodded and walked in. She looked around, it was a neat and quiet home. Joel led her to the living room. He gave a worried look.
"Why are you here?"

Morgan closed her eyes and took a deep. She opened her eyes again and looked at Joel, worry flooded her eyes.
"I will won't speak until you get Mrs. Smallbone."

Joel shook his head and sighed in defeat.
"Fine, I'll be right back."

Morgan nodded and looked around. Joel turned around and walked to the room that used to be his and Moriah's.

He stood on the other side of the door, panicking.
He knocked on the door.
"Moriah?"

No answer.

He knocked again, harder and faster.
"Moriah?!"
Still no answer.

He backed away and took a deep breath. He thought of a way to get her to open the door. Then, an idea popped in his head. His eyes widened and he snapped.
"That's it!" He said to himself.

He returned to the door and knocked.
"Moriah? I'm gonna cook us lunch."

He ran off to the living room.
He nodded to Morgan.
"She's coming-"

But, before he could finish, they heard Moriah scream across the house.
"JOEL!"

Morgan gave a puzzled look at Joel. Joel shrugged.

Moriah ran in the room with a fire extinguisher in her arms.
"JOEL! STAY AWAY FROM THE OVEN!"

She looked at Joel and then Morgan. She nervously laughed and threw the fire extinguisher somewhere.
Joel gave a shocked look at Moriah.

"Really? A fire extinguisher?"

Moriah shrugged.
"You're not a very good cook."

Morgan nodded and looked at Joel.
"Yeah..."

Moriah gave a confused look.
"Joel, who is this?"
Joel opened his mouth, but Morgan interrupted.
"I'm Morgan Grey."

Moriah shook Morgan's hand.
"Hello, I'm-"
Morgan stopped Moriah before finishing.

"I know, Moriah Castillo Peters Smallbone, contemporary Christian singer and songwriter who saved her first kiss with her husband, Joel David Smallbone also known as one half of the contemporary Christian band For KING & COUNTRY, on their wedding day."

Moriah's eyes widened. Joel backed away a bit. Moriah just stared.
"Um... Yeah I'm that Moriah. Haha.... Ha...."
Moriah nervously laughed and went quiet.

Morgan cocked her head.
"I do my research. But, we're not here to talk about you or me, we're here to talk about Alanis."
Moriah looked at Morgan quickly.
"What about my daughter?!"

Joel pressed his lips together and went beside Moriah. Morgan looked down and back at Moriah.
"I'm the biological mother of Alanis."

Moriah's eyes widened and her mouth flew open.
"What?!"
