They were all in a room, with black walls. They sat a long wooden table, with Morgan and her lawyers across from Moriah and Joel's lawyers.

The judge sat at the end of the table. Eyeing everyone, which made Moriah a bit uncomfortable.

They were waiting for the DNA results for Alanis. Moriah and Joel doubted that Morgan was the real mother of Alanis, they didn't look nothing alike. And they waited now in fear, scared of the results.

Joel looked at Moriah, he noticed her panic. He reached under the table and grabbed her hand gently, since Moriah sat beside him. Moriah felt his hand and held his hand, too. They smiled at each other weakly.

Moriah nervously please played with her hands under the table. She was terrified of what would happen. Joel kept shaking, scared of what he would say.

That's when, a man walks in with an envelope. The judge nodded to the man with the envelope and grabbed it. The man walked out and the judge turned to everyone.
He lifted up the envelope.
"The results have come in."
He carefully opened it, and read the results.

Moriah grabbed Joel's hand and panicked. Morgan looked calm, like she knew the answer already. Moriah closed her eyes and prayed.
Please God, please.

The Judge lifted his eyes from the paper and looked at everyone. He removed his glasses and looked at Morgan, then Joel and Moriah.

Joel flushed in fear.
Please God, Please let it be...

The Judge put the paper down. He pressed his lips together and nodded.
"The results show that the child, Alanis, belongs to..."

Everything went slow motion for Joel and Moriah. And when they said the results, they couldn't believe it.

"Morgan."

The judge put the the paper in the envelope, he turned and everyone got up. Joel and Moriah sat there in shock.

Morgan got up and looked down, she walked out with her lawyers.

Moriah began to cry, and Joel pulled her into a hug. Joel cried too, holding Moriah.

Alanis silently packed, not looking up at Joel or Moriah. She folded her clothes and stuffed it in her suitcase.

Joel handed Alanis her music box. It was dark wooden box, polished and beautiful, and, when opened, the song "Cinderella," played.

Alanis gently took it from Joel and opened it. It usually made her smile, but not this time. Joel looked at her and lifted her chin.
"Lani? You alright?"

Alanis looked at the box, the ballerina spinning to the music. She let a tear fall slowly from her eye.

Moriah looked down and cried silently.

Morgan came in, a police officer behind her. The police officer was there to make sure that Alanis went to Morgan, and Morgan only.

Morgan looked at them and nodded.
"Alanis, I'll be in the car."
She turned and signalled a man, her Butler, to grab the other luggage of Alanis.
The butler did as he was told, and grabbed some suitcases.

They all walked out, leaving Alanis, Moriah, Issac, and Joel alone in the room. Issac handed Alanis her "Brave," blanket, which was neatly folded.

Alanis wiped her tear and gave Issac a small smile.
"Thanks Issac."
Issac looked at Alanis with tears in his eyes. He hugged Alanis, wrapping his arms around her neck.
"I love you, Lani."
