Joel stared at his plate. He wasn't hungry at all. He simply looked at his plate, not bothering to pick up his silverware.

Moriah wasn't eating either. Her plate was untouched. She was busy staring at her laptop's screen.

Alanis was eating, though. But, she wasn't happy. She forced herself to eat, but not once did she look up.

Issac used his fork to play around with his food. But, no smile came from him. He wasn't giggling, playing, or smiling. He had no energy to even say good morning.

Alanis finished, and pushed her plate away.
"I'm finished," she said in almost a whisper voice.
Moriah nodded, but didn't look at her.
"Okay. Tara?"

Tara came in the kitchen. She stopped and stood beside Moriah.
"Yes?"
Moriah typed something on her laptop.
"I'm sorry to be a bother, but Alanis wants to go to Courtney's house for her band practice. Do you mind taking her?"
Tara weakly smiled.
"Not at all."

Moriah stopped and smiled at Tara.
"Thank you."

Issac looked up, hope sparked in his eyes.
"Can I go too?"
Moriah turned to Issac and smiled.
"Sure, sweetie."

Issac gave a small smile.
Tara smiled and walked over to Issac. She carefully picked him up from his high chair.

She set him down, grabbed his hand, and led Alanis and Issac to the front door.

They left, leaving Joel, Shyann, and Moriah alone in the house. Shyann was picking up the plates, carefully, she tried her best not to bother Joel and Moriah.

She went to the counter and placed the plates in the sink. She sighed and pressed her lips together, and walked to the cabinets. She opened them up to see not much.

She walked back to Joel and Moriah.
"Um, I'm running to the store to get some ingredients for lunch, do y'all want something while I'm gone?" Moriah shook her head.
"No thank you."

Shyann turned to Joel, expecting him to say something. He simply looked at his plate with no expression. Shyann pressed her lips together and put her hands together.
"Alright then, I'll be back soon."

She walked away and left, leaving Joel and Moriah alone in the house.

They didn't speak to each other for about five minutes. They sat across from each other, silently.

Moriah broke the silence by getting up.
"Have you finished eating?" She quietly asked.
Joel nodded softly, and got up slowly.
His food was cold, and it might have collected dust.

----------------

Joel and Moriah both sat in the living room in silence.

Joel stared at the wall, Moriah looked down, they wouldn't speak to each other. They didn't know what to say.

Moriah was looking down. Even though she was mad, in the bottom of her heart, she still loved Joel. She planned in her head how to start a conversation with him.

Joel, on the other hand, was looking at the wall. He loved Moriah, but he was sure Moriah felt only hatred towards him. He didn't blame her, he messed up VERY badly. So, in his head he hoped that Moriah didn't start a conversation.

Moriah opened her mouth.
"How did your tour go?" She quietly asked. Wow Moriah. Great conversation starter, is what she thought.
