Day 1...
I had run. I had panicked. Now I might die because of it. Safety in numbers, Diana. Your chance of surviving may be with the others in that bowl with you. The battle master had warned me and still I had left the safety of numbers behind. Too late to go back, do not go back only forward. The rocky bowl had given way to trees, ones I have grown used to, pine, Mable, and oak. This was a forest. Above me a falcon cried out. As did many other birds, a good sign. I took a small sip of my water leather. Before continuing on. Green and brown made up most of the colors the rest of them came from bushes and they were rare sights. This place would be easy to get lost in. Not good.

The little bit of bead I had would not be enough to get me through a week even if I only took one bite a day. I need to find food and water. My ears were strained to hear, as my feet kept moving forward to a place I could not even see. The further I went the hotter it got.

My tunic was starting to stick to my back, my hair was wet from sweat, and my hand now itched to garb the remaining water in the water leather. I wondered how long I had been out here, how long had I been walking around with no end in sight. Looking up told me I did not want to know, the trees I knew had turned tropical, bright flashy colors, and leaves bigger than I could imagine. Of in the distance I heard a scream followed closely by another. My head snapped towards the source but saw nothing but more leaves. I pulled a few of them off the trees and tied them together with a long piece of grass. It to was different than I was use to, stronger, and far harder to break. The sky that was once bright blue was now becoming dark. Thunder claps sounded in the distance and thick black clouds were quickly rolling in.

I started weaving a very large cup to catch the rain. I carefully placed it on my back between my swords. I continued to walk but soon their was no color, no light, no seeing. The mud slipped between my toes as I walked. My sandles were thin and of little protection from the down pour. I came quickly and fell fast, with no signs of letting up. I pulled the cup from my back and used it to fill the skin. I drained the rest before replacing it on my back again. Do not stop sis' not until it's a safe well hidden place, no matter how long you been walk, no matter what time it is, and no matter how tried you are. Do not stop until you are safe or you'll be dead. I pushed myself on as the storm raged. The trees grew taller and wider at the base. A flash of lightning lit up the sky and the nearby ground. My eyes stayed on one tree and continued to walk to it. The trees roots parted just enough for me to work my way beneath them. A dry place to sleep for the night. I curled up to one side after hanging my cloak to dry, and placing the cup against a side wall to keep it in the upright position, and fell asleep.

Day 2...
When I woke up the storm was still going and I was not alone. Inside my little hollow was a couple others. I knew two of them from training. Mario and Marko were twins, though you would never know it by looking at them. Mario was short by five inches and light brown, Marko was the taller of the two with dark brown hair that looked black a lot of the time. One boy who had joined while I slept was blonde, and looked to be shorter than me. While it may have been lighter out much of the outside world was dark green or black unknown distance. However sitting here waiting for the storm the stop was not a possibility.

"Marko, Mario! Wake up! We need to move." They steered slow to awaken. They looked at me in the shock. "Do either of you know him?"

"Ethan, man wake up! Time to go!" Ethan was clearly not a morning person. His eyes were half mass like mine on a good day. I was often told that I always looked half asleep. Now that he was up and stretching it was clear he was actually about six inches taller than me still short for a male but that might be tall where ever he was from. I folded my cloak and tucked it around my twin blades to keep them dry while also in easy access. The cup was pasted around to every so that we could start off with I drink atleast. I picked off just a bit of bread to eat. The others ate a bit of their own shares.

"We need to find food."

"Finding food in the rain forest is easy, it's keeping it that's hard."

"We did not grow up with places like this, we were raised in Sansa. Where were you raised?"

"Glory, no one from Glory get ever gets a normal dragon, always rainbow colored or they change colors."

"Well why don't you show us the way to food." He just shrugged and climbed out. We followed close behind. Slowly we hiked through the trees Marko and Mario started the song misty mountain and I picked it up. Our feet steped in time with other like we did at training. My steps were strained to keep pace, as my strides were forced longer than preferred. We could not, would not slow down. Mario took to decent sized banana bunch's hang on his back while we all are one as we walked, Marko had a pack that was now filled with coconuts. Ethan carried bamboo and leaves. My back now had another two leaf cups. We continued to sing as we went and by late that evening the rain had started to let up. As we walked my mind wondered back to my younger days when I was too unskilled to sneak away from mom.

My heels clicked upon the stone floors. My long hair flowed out and to the floor, the bangs brushed my knees with every step while the back was twisted in elaborate braids to keep it high on my head. Dad was just coming home on his white stag, Shine, brother was beside him on a horse. His arms beaten and bruised. Dad lifted me easily above his head. My legs rushed to him as he hopped from the stag and ran to me as well. He bent to one knee as I jumped, catching me with ease. He was so swift, going back to two feet without a hitch, and spinning me around. Mom was glaring after me until she saw dad holding me, with my always pretty long skirts. Dad set me on the ground before walking to mom. He bent to one knee and took her hands in his. "My lady, forgive me but the girl is never as beautiful as her mother and will no doubt be the cause of many suitors being stabbed by her noble father. I laughed, my mother took hold of his ear in annoyed amusement, while my brother made his way down from the horse and shook his head.

The memory bought a smile to my face. Night had fallen around us. Marko and Mario followed close to me as nighttime was and had always been my time. My feet moved across the ground easily, even Ethan had fell close behind me. I stopped. "Ethan can you hand me one of the cups?" He took a drink from it as did Marko and Mario before I got some. Ethan replaced it to its spot and we continued. The sliver of moon was enough to keep most bugs and even some birds awake but all noise seemed to stop.

We unloaded our backs and looked out to the trees, running was not a choice at a time and place like this. Out of the darkness two pairs of eyes looked out. I drew my twin blades. The glittering steel catching the light of the moon above. Ethan drew a sabor, I always did like a man who could wiled that dangerous weapon. I have always had trouble with it though the battle master said I did good with it for being so small. I wonder just how good he is with it. Bad Diana, I wonder if he likes bad girls.

"Diana! Now is not the time!" Mario and Marko said together. I pouted but focused on the two animals creeping from the trees. Rams from the look of them and mad ones at that. I took a step towards them and they charged. My left hand went straight out, one ram ran right into it. My blade went right into its neck spraying me with blood. By the time I had pulled my blade from the cooling body they had killed the other one. I wiped my blade one the mammals forelegs, after I cut off the flanks. Then I sheathed the blades and drew my dagger to skin it. I warped the meat in the skin and pulled off the horns. Mario and Marko had done the same before we started off again.
