*Rose's POV*

The light streamed in through the open curtain and woke me from the best dream I've had in a long time. I decided that it was time to get dressed and take on the day, so I stumbled over to my closet, wiping the sleep from my eyes. I chose to wear a pair of black leggings and my favorite light green, over-sized hoodie. Now, for the hard part.

"What should I do with my hair?" I said out loud, staring into the mirror sitting on top of my wooden dresser.

"You look gorgeous in a messy bun," came the soft voice of my mother from my doorway.

"You startled me," I replied, my heart skipping a quick beat. She walked over and took my hair into her gentle hands and started playing with it before putting it into an expert messy bun.

"You really are gorgeous, Bunny. Don't let anyone say otherwise," she whispered, leaning down to place a kiss on my cheek. "Want me to do your makeup?" My mom went to cosmetology school, so she knows what she's doing.

"I would love that!" So we walked the short distance to her room where her makeup and brushes were, and I sat down in the chair in front of her enormous mirror while she got out her makeup. And just like the artist she is, completely transformed my face into a face of beauty. I looked into the mirror one more time, just to make sure I saw right.

"Oh my gosh, I love it! Thank you, mom," I said excitedly, turning around to hug her.

"You're welcome, Bunny. Now, do you want breakfast?"

"Nah, I'm gonna go hang out at the park with Emily before we go laser tagging later, if that's okay?" She nodded, and I bounced back to my room to slip on my white converse before running outside.

Going to the park now. When will you be there? I texted Emily. Moments later, I received her reply.

I'm already there. Hurry! There's a cute guy here! I started to run the mile from my house to the park before I realized that I left my wallet at home. "Eh, oh well. I can get it later," I thought to myself, slowing to a jog as I got closer to the park.

I jogged in the entrance at the same time this cute guy was walking out, not paying attention to anything. We collided, and both of us ended up on the ground.

"And now we're laying on the cold, hard ground," he muttered, before actually looking at me. "I'm really sorry. I should have been paying attention. Are you alright?" He asked, with a heavy Irish accent.

"Uh, yeah. I think I'm fine. Hurt my knee a bit, but I'm good," I replied, getting lost in his green eyes.

"The name's Aiden," he said, extending a hand to help me up.

"That's a unique name. Mine's Rose," I said, accepting his hand to help me up.

"Maybe I'll see you around. But I have to go. It was nice running into you," he grinned before he left.

I gathered myself and walked to the swings, because I knew that's where Emily would be.

I know this is a short chapter, but it's just an introductory chapter. The first three are going to be like this. But after that, I promise they will get longer!
