You were waiting outside a cafe because your ex boyfriend asked to see you.
At first, you denied him but then he said it was serious.
"Hey y/n." Lucky took a seat across from you.
You stood up to give him a hug, "Hey, what's up?"
"Nothing much I just," he sighed, "I really wanted to talk to you."
"I see that. What's going on?" you sipped from your coffee cup.
"I know I'm too late on this, but I wanted to say I'm sorry."
Your lips formed into a straight line.
"Um," he continued. "I look like a total asshole for this, but-but I miss you."
You scoffed, "Oh my gosh, Lucky. No."
"Wait, wait," he begged. "I wanted to be with you. I wanted you, but I was young and stupid and I couldn't think for myself."
"What?"
"Y/n, I've always loved you. It's always been you, back then I couldn't appreciate you. I didn't deserve you then-"
"Oh so you deserve me now?"
"No, I mean yes--I mean-"
"No," you put your finger up, "Make the first move, Lucky. I made the first move throughout our whole relationship! Stop being so scared of rejection, stop feeling so engulfed in thoughts that aren't even yours, and stop wasting your time!"
He was silent.
You retorted, "It's okay that you chose her." he was confused.
"We always choose the wrong people for ourselves. After all, I chose you."
Lucky was contempt and ashamed. "I'm sorry."
"I am too."
"But you know I still love you." he reached to hold your hand.
"You love me now," you slowly pulled away your hand. "I've never stopped."
"Don't tell me about who I love." Lucky demanded, "One thing I have against you is my own mind, body, and soul. Y/n, you gave me all of you and I gave you all of me!"
"You had everything against me. You knew you were too good for me, and you still stuck around just to hurt me."
"That's not what I wanted to do."
"We gave each other everything, I do agree with that. But you took it all away when you married someone else."
