"Lucky," you panted as you tried to keep up with your soon to be dead boyfriend. "Stop this. Stop."

"If you don't want to watch me then don't!" he snapped.

"It's not about that," you pulled him back. "You're going to kill yourself in that ring."

He scoffed, "Lighten up y/n..I've done this countless times."

"This time it's different and you know it!" you yelled at him with his back facing you.

"I'm sorry but there's nothing you could say or do that will make me change my mind." he sighed.

"How could you be so selfish?"

"I'm not being selfish, y/n! We need this money and I'm doing it for us!" he growled.

"You get the money if you win, Lucky! If you win!" you pounded your hand into the other.

"This is our only option, y/n! What do you expect me to do?!"

His bleached hair pokes out from under his hoodie, which reminded you of countless, random memories. His ice, blue eyes stare deep into yours and suddenly you were back to when you first met.

"I expect you to get back in the car, and drive home with me." you finally said softly.

Lucky shook his head, "Just leave..if this is just so hard for you, then get outta here!"

This time you didn't follow him.

"If you go to that fight," you inhaled deeply, "Don't expect me to be there when you get home."

Lucky stopped in his tracks then marched his way back to you.

"Don't fucking do that." frustration and anger fled in his voice.

Tears welled up in your eyes, "There's nothing you could say or do that will make me change my mind."

Lucky sternly pressed his lips onto yours before walking away again.

"You better be home when I get there. I'm not fucking kidding, or else I will track you down."

You stood outside even though he was long gone, but you were about to make or break the rest of your life.

"I'm sorry."
