The discussion which determined their fates

Nekocchi's POV:

I woke up in a room where sunlight passes through the space between the curtains with someone's warmth beneath me, I wondered what it was so I got up and saw a certain tealette with his eyes closed.

"Ai?" He opened his eyes as I called out to him

"You're finally awake" He responded with a gentle smile as he patted my head

"Why can I feel warmth from you? Aren't you an android?" I asked as I held his hand over to my cheek

"I adjusted my temperature to suit that of a human's" He replied as he caressed my cheek

"Then, you're doing the same thing as me?" I asked as my eyes started feeling drowsy

He nodded as a response and signaled me to get off of him. I looked down and just realized that I was sitting on top of him while wearing an oversized sweater and simply didn't mind. I rubbed my eyes and laid on his chest once again.

"Stay with me like this...at least till my diziness goes away" I told him as my voice cracked a bit and he simply started caressing my hair.

After a few minutes, we both sat up and decided to talk properly

"How many days have I been asleep?" I asked him with a blank look and he kept silent for a while before deciding to answer

"It hasn't reached a day yet, you only slept for a few hours" He answered back with a blank look

"So you missed me enough to exaggerate when I finally woke up?" I questioned once again with a blank look

"I did and always will" He suddenly grabbed my wrists and pushed me back down on the bed as our lips crashed together

My eyes widened in surprise, but I kissed back as well. His kisses were getting more aggressive each minute that passes. He was about to stick his tongue in, but the door suddenly opened, revealing a beet-red and shocked Syo, and a gentle smiling Natsuki

"W-w-w-w-we.....WE'RE SORRY FOR INTRUDING!! PLEASE CONTINUE" Syo dashed out while dragging Natsuki behind him, leaving us behind with blushing faces cause of his last words

Ai and I just looked at each other for a while before having our faces turn beet red as we immediately sat up

"A-anyway.....did professor and Saotome allow us to continue being together?" I cleared my throat as I asked

"They did" He nodded and I was really happy when he was allowed but my smile turned into a frown when I saw him frown.

"What's wrong?" I asked him as worry came over my face

"They said that either I or Aine will need to quit being an idol for life if I want to live" He answered while having a dark expression

Wanting to do something for him, I stood up and went closer to him before kissing his forehead and giving him a hug

"Wherever you end up at is where I shall be heading to as well, I won't leave you alone anymore" I gave him a gentle smile a I caressed his cheek while receiving an angelic smile from him. We had a moment of a peaceful silence before Ai decided to inform me about something

"We'll have a meeting later with Saotome, the professor, Aine and Rinne after 10 minutes to discuss about the final decision"

After a few hours, Saotome called us to his office

Upon arrival, the presence of Aine, Rinne, and Saotome came into sight

We took a seat and indulged in silence before Aine broke the silence

"Ai, one of us needs to change their identity for you to continue living on" Aine told Ai in a serious manner

"Well, for me, I'd actually rather change my identity and help Rinne in her research about androids"Aine told us in a chirpy tone

"I think Ai would be more suitable to be an idol, don't you agree?" He continued and looked at Saotome with a confident look as he asked him

"YYYYOOOOUUUU AARRREEE RIIGGGHHHTTT MR. AIIINNEEE" Saotome suddenly stood up from his seat and started spinning as he said that

"So, what do you say Ai? Would you want to stop being an idol or continue being one with Nekocchi?" Aine asked him with a grin

"I'll continue being an idol" Ai replied back with a smile immediately

"How 'bout you nekocchi? Do you have some comments regarding their decision?" Rinne asked me

"None" I shook my head as I answered

"Well then, now that this matter is settled, please get out of the room for a while" I pointed at Aine, Rinne and Saotome and signalled them to get out

They knew what I was gonna do so they just immediately left after saying goodbye to us

After they left, we spent a few moments of silence before I spoke up

"Ai....answer this question honestly
..." I paused for a while and received a nod from him before continuing

"Do you hate your creator?" I asked him

"I used to" He answered my without hesitating

"Why?" I asked once again, curious as to how someone would hate the person who created him

"Cause I was only made to cover up for someone. I was made for that kind of reason but I learned to accept it in the end anyways" I was a bit saddened when I heard his reason

"I've got something to tell ya...." I started off, hesitating whether I should tell him about the truth or not

"I'm your creator...I was the one who created you, Ai" I revealed the truth to him. I hesitated, but I still did.

"Also...you aren't really just an android. You're actually like me...someone who died back then but got their brains implanted on another vessel. The only difference is that somethin' was inputted in your brain for you to act like an android..." Ai looked at me with widened eyes as he found out about the truth about him.

"I'm sorry Ai. I'm sorry for not telling you sooner about this." I bowed my head down and apologized

Ai sighed and the room was filled with silence before he stood up and hugged me from behind

"It's fine, like I said, I "used" to hate my creator but I would never hate Nekocchi" Ai smiled as he told me that with a gentle voice

"Thank you..." I turned around and hugged him back in joy after hearing him say that to me

"Y'know, you were actually my fiancé when we were still alive and you were actually aine's step sibling as well" I chuckled a bit as I told him

"I was?" He asked with a bit of a surprised tone

"Yeah, you were" I smiled with a nod

"Well then it must've been fate for us to be together till now" He hugged me a bit tighter as he said that

"Cliché but yeah, it really must've been fate which kept us together after everything that has happened so far" My smile grew larger as I said those words
