Aine's Awakening

Nekocchi's POV: 

I woke up in a world filled of darkness only to see a path towards a certain person....

"A-aine?" I called out the person's name and successfully got his attention

"Nekocchi!! long time no see, you didn't have to keep your promise you know" Aine responded with a cheerful tone

I went closer to him and gave him a hug

"You should know that I always keep my promises" I smiled at him as he hugged me back

"Rinne already misses you, so you should head back now" I told him as I patted his head

"But what about you? Won't you be left here if I go ahead?" Aine had a sad look plastered on to his face

"It's fine, no one's gonna miss me anyways, also.....I'm just a robot now" I told him with a sad smile but I simply received a slap from him

"A lot's gonna miss you, Rinne, Ranmaru, me, and other more people that you met. Don't just simply throw away your friends!!" He shouted at me and I just froze in shock

"I'll make you come back for sure, I won't let you disappear just like this again" He declared as he patted my head

"It's my turn to save you this time" He smiled as he left the darkness

Aine's POV: 

I woke up with a burning throat and a vision blinded by the light for a few seconds. Gasps were heard and someone immediately hugged me

Brown hair came to vision as my vision started clearing up

"Wa..ter" I managed to yelp out, someone handed me a glass of water and i drank it

"Aine!! You're alive!!" 2 brunettes hugged me as soon as I put the glass away

"Rei..ji and Rin..ne?" I muttered out their names and the ferociously nodded

"Rin..ne, get..the family....treasure....I'll save....Neko...chi this....time" RInne immediately went to the basement to get the thing I was talking about.

I looked around and saw everyone looking at Nekocchi with a sad expression, I also caught a glimpse of someone who looked like me

"Who are you?" I asked as I pointed to the tealette

"I'm an android who was created based on you with the main purpose of covering for you while you're in a coma state, My name is Mikaze Ai" He responded in a monotonic voice

"Ai-ai, are you gonna be destroyed?" Reiji asked in a sad tone but Ai simply nodded

"But, won't Nekocchi be sad once you're gone?" A tall guy with blonde hair asked

"She won't, she's a...............robot....as well so she doesn't have feelings" He answered in a cold tone

"Are you an idiot?" I got ticked off and asked him bluntly

"Huh?" He seemed dumb founded by my question

"Nekocchi may have a robot's body, but she still has the mind and heart of her human self" They looked at me with shocked expressions after my statement

"Wh-what do you mean? Nekocchi...was a human?" A red headed boy asked

"She was, not until she got hit by a truck though............Rinne was her best friend and the daughter of a scientist. Rinne was near when Nekocchi got hit by a truck so she managed to save her heart and brain by preserving them. They made a vessel, which is her current body, to put the heart and mind in. Before the accident happened, Nekocchi was already an idol in the company that Rinne's family owned as well and had been doing lots of jobs as different idols" I explained her past to everyone with a stoic look

"She's been through a lot so please don't disappear from her life....Ai...I'll talk to the professor to let you continue living.." I told him as I grabbed his hand and gripped it tightly

"I'm back with the treasure" Rinne suddenly burst in and handed me the treasure

"What is that?" The guy with a japanese vibe asked

"Something that can bring Nekocchi's consciousness back" I answered him without hesitating

Everyone looked at me with a questioning look

I pressed a hidden button near the edge of the blade and stabbed Nekocchi's core using it.

She started to spark and grunt as her eyes started to open after a few seconds

"A-ine?" She got up as she looked around for Ai and spotted him just behind me

She immediately dashed to Ai and hugged him. Ai looked surprised a first but decided to hug backin the end

"Ai....I..." She started tearing up as Ai simply continued to embrace her

"It's ok now, I'll make sure to keep you safe from now on.." Ai simply hugged her tighter as she nodded and lost consciousness as a side effect of using the machine

Ai carried her in his arms as he walked up to me and bowed

"Please do what you can to prevent me from parting ways with Nekocchi" He kept his head down as his words were full of desperation

"Raise your head" He obeyed and showed me his eyes which is full of determination

"I'll do everything that I can to prevent you both from getting separated" I gave him a reassuring smile with a strong response and he nodded as a response

"Thank you" He left with Nekocchi as he said those words

"Just follow them to find the exit of this house" I just remembered about the idols which were left here accidentally and decided to tell them what to do for them to snap back to reality

They panicked a bit before finally thanking me and leaving the room to follow the 2 who went ahead

"Now then, how can I make professor allow Ai to continue living...."
