He walks along the halls
Looks at the writings
Sprawled across the walls
Ignoring the calls
His heartbeat steady
With the rise and the falls
"Already used to it,"
He thinks silently
As he looks straight ahead
Feeling a tinge of dread
Starting to spread,
Creeping its way
Onto his bones
He swallows hard
As the voices start to get loud
With a vehement force
He starts to fidget with his phone
And puts the volume on full blast
Silencing the growls
He sighs, relieved
The mixture of panic and fear
Now starting to disappear
