Liam frantically searched through his backpack as he tried to see if he remembered his Calc. ABC homework. He had forgotten to bring it on the day it was due, and it would haunt him till his grave if he hadn't at least tried to turn it in, and get as much credit as the teacher was willing to give. "You've got to be joking," he muttered, as he realized he had forgotten it once more. He felt himself deflate a little. Ever since his mother died, he had been throwing himself into his school work and his extracurricular activities. Because of that, he was one of the top students of the school, though it seemed as if everyone expected him to be perfect… Liam felt a hard slap to his shoulders, before the same hands gripped them. “Hey Li,” said the familiar voice. A smile cracked on his lips, only his best friend continued to call him that after his mother died.  “Hey Niall,” he said, doing a 180. Since his friend was so much smaller than him, he always had to tilt his head to meet his eyes. “Damn it,” he growled. “Why do you always have to look down on me? Literally?” he exclaimed. Liam laughed loudly, almost forgetting his missing assignment. He grabbed his bag, and slung it over his shoulder before locking his car. “Because if I don’t, I’ll be looking over you, and we both know I’m nobodies baby sitter.” He winked. “Hardy-har-har” Niall grumbled as he walked with Liam to the inside of the school.

“What I don’t understand is why you’re so damn tall. Did your dad ever happen to feed you HGH’s when you were on the football team?” he asked. “Or are you supposed to be this un-naturally tall?” Niall waited impatiently for Liam’s answer as he leaned against the locker that was next to his friends. “No, and I wasn’t actually on the team,” he said. “Maybe the same reason I’m so “tall” is the same one on how you’re so short.” He said, messing Niall’s hair playfully. “Oh I forgot about you being their little bitch. What fond memories” Niall replied, as Liam shut his locker. Liam shook his head, sighing, before he made his way to his first period, Niall still with him. It was Niall who first noticed the new crowd of kids. They were all so different than the usual kids who went to their school. These ones were taller, more muscular, better looking, and scary as fuck. “Oh Jesus; I would hate to see what they would do to the jocks who would give one of those beasts ‘new kid treatment’.” Liam looked at the new crowd, un-phased. All he saw was just another crowd of kids who would hate him automatically, just like the rest. He didn’t notice one of his favorite Jocks, Kenny, up behind him along with his pack of dumb-fucks. “Hey Liam, me and your mom had such a good time last night. Who knew she was so good in bed?” he said, taunting him. Liam was the type to ignore these comments, no matter how angry he would get. Niall though, was not. “Yeah, you would fuck a corpse Kenneth, you sick son of a bitch.” He growled. Liam’s eyes widened at his reply, yes it was a very Niall-ish comment, and still, some of the things that came out of his friend’s mouth were shocking.

“Say that again,” Kenny snapped, grabbing Niall by the collar of his shirt. “But you heard it just fine the first time.
