Manon's POV
I snuck downstairs trying to be as quiet as possible. Ronan is still asleep, well it is only 6:30, but I didn't want to wake him up early on his day off. Ronan would power through his Alpha duties in the week to get ahead and be able to take the weekends off.
Quietly I passed his door in the hall, heading down the stairs. Descending the stairs, his voice startled me. "Good morning Manon." He smiled handing me a cup of coffee. I returned a smile, taking the cup from him. "Thanks." I blew on it before taking a long sip.
I wiped my mouth, before speaking. "I wasn't expecting you up so early." He took a sip of his coffee. "Mhmm. I wanted to eat breakfast with you at the pack house." I sat on the stool near the island, placing my cup down gently, doing my best not to spill.
Although I have never been to the pack house, and did want to go, I was hesitant. Ronan and I are working on our relationship in private. No one besides his family and the Betas know he found his mate. I wouldn't be upset if anyone found out about us, as of now I don't have any reasons to leave him, but I didn't like the idea of being in the middle of things.
"Do you think it's a good idea that we're both around everyone." He furrowed his brows. "I mean, we'll need an excuse for why I'm there. No one knows me." He scratched his chin before sipping his coffee.
"I don't see a reason to be worried. Didn't you all ready tell Jaxon that your here for the alliance?" I nodded my head, taking a long sip of coffee. "Well then, if anyone asks, I'm showing you around for the alliance report."
I smiled nodding. "That's a good idea." He smiled, revealing his perfect teeth before finishing his cup of coffee. I did the same, putting my cup in the sink, making a mental note to do the dishes later.
I stood up from the stool, pushing it back into place. I turned to face Ronan, who was eyeing my outfit. Our eyes met and his cheeks blushed. "Should I change?" I asked. Ronan was not the type of guy to stare, not even before, so I was curious to what was up.
"Umm." He began obviously embarrassed. "We can go swimming later, so I would put a bathing suit on under." I nodded my head before jogging up the stairs. Ronan followed, I assumed he was going to put his on too.
I reached my room, closing the door after me and opening the drawer. I picked out a gray bathing suit, throwing on a dark blue tank top and jean shorts as well as the black converse Piper got me.
I met Ronan downstairs. He was wearing blue swim trunks with some type of Hawaiian flower on them. "Are you ready to go?" He smiled walking towards me. I nodded and followed him out the door. "The Omegas will be done making breakfast at 7:00 so if we want the hot stuff we have to get there soon."
I nodded, trying to keep up with his strides. We made casual conversation all the way to the pack house. As we neared the door I stopped him. "Wait. Do I call you Ronan or Alpha?" He gave me an annoyed look.
"You always call me Ronan. Even if they don't know it, we're equals." I nodded, following him in. He held the door for me and I mumbled a thanks taking in the pack house. It was loud for being this early. Teens played video games in the main room, adults chatted, and pups played, running around. I noticed a few from the school, but they were too busy playing to notice.
