Chapter Two

I stood frozen as I stared at Zack unable to respond to what he just said. Unable to reply. I know they were waiting for my orders. I know they were waiting to see what we were going to do, but I also knew that they didn't want to do what they were asking of them. I know that because I too didn't want to do it.

I looked around at their faces, each one of them waiting. Waiting for my reply, waiting for me to tell them no. I looked back at Zack, his eyes knowing the decision I am forced to make. I can't tell them no. "Get some rest and organize your gear."

"Flame!" I heard Ella yell at me as soon as I stopped talking causing my gaze to snap back at her feeling anger immediately rising up through my body, "We can't do this!"

"We can and we will," I stated knowing what was coming next. I know that there is something else she has to say there is no way that she will just let this slide, there is always some sort of resistance from her. I know there is.

"How many lives are we going to take this time Flame?!" she yelled at me, her eyes watering. I knew this would happen, but unfortunately they trained us to be immune to emotions. A training I've taking seriously because it always kept me safe. Kept my team safe.

"That's enough Ella!" I yelled at her immediately causing the rest of my squad to flinch as their eyes followed Ella and I, no doubt they were observing the stance I took, a stance which I take when I'm not comfortable about doing something. "You think I want this? You think we all want this? Hell Bella, if I could have traded places with you and follow orders rather than make them you think I wouldn't have long time ago? Ella, you think this doesn't hurt me?"

I kept my eyes on her watching as she flinched with every word I said to her, after all, she is trained to listen to me, I am her captain, it's in her blood to be submissive just like it's in my blood to be dominant. I sighed and wiped my face with my hand and looked at her, I reached towards her and touched her face with my mud caked hand, "Ella, we are to follow the instructions that are given to us, it's what we were created to do, we can't deny the orders," I stated wishing that she understood my position, wishing that she could have understood what I have to go through, what Zack and I have to go through.

"Flame is right Ella," Zack said standing by my side, "You have to follow what we instruct you to do, sometimes somethings are out of our control and we have to look after you and the rest of our squad."

"You two have to understand that it's hard for us too," She stated pushing away my hand and looking down at the ground. I looked at her not missing the tears that rolled down her flushed cheeks and dripped off of her chin onto the silver, aluminium covered floor.

"We do," I stated and pulled away from them and began walking towards the girl dormitories, "But the instructions stay the same."

I couldn't wait to get into the bathroom. I felt the mud sticking onto my body, all I wanted to do was to wash it all off and get out of these clothes. They were annoying me. I stripped on the way to the bathroom knowing fully well that they will be cleaned up by the automatic cleaners as soon as the door to the bathroom closes.

Once in the bathroom I just stood under the hot water watching all the mud run down the drain. I scrubbed my skin until I started to see my normal caramel brown colour. I ran my hands through my hair smiling as I once again felt clean.

I sighed as I stepped out of the shower holding my towel tightly against my body. "Final decision huh?" Zack's voice filled the air causing me to roll my eyes and turn to face him feeling my heart starting to beat faster as I looked at him as he leaned against the sink with his muscular arms across his chest along with a smirk on his perfect lips.

"You know that we have no other choice, it's either kill..."

"Or be killed," he sighed pushing off the sink and walking towards me. I stood my ground my eyes keeping on his. He reached towards me touching my cheek and tiling my head upwards as both of his hands cupped my cheeks. "We can't continue with this forever Nyx... "

"I'm trying," I said softly before I tiptoed and kissed his chin. He smiled and leaned forward and pushed his forward against mine rubbing his nose against mine before he reached down and grasped my waist and pulled me closer to him.

I smiled as I moved my lips closer to his and pushed him back against the sink before kissing him roughly. His hands grabbed my ass as I pressed closer to him. He smiled against my lips and continued to kiss me. I pushed my hands through his hair before pulling away.

"We should stop," I whispered before pushing a loose strand of hair behind my ear. I could feel his eyes silently judging me as they swept over my body causing a smirk to form on his lips, "Don't even do that," I forced a smile trying to ignore my thundering heartbeat.

"Why?" he asked me walking closer to me with his eyes on mine causing me to take a step back, "It's not like we haven't kissed before," his laugh penetrated the bathroom causing it to echo throughout the bathroom.

He reached towards me and pulled me by my towel causing it to fall on the floor even that didn't stop him as he grabbed me by my ass squeezing it gently before he leaned forward and pulled my bottom lip into his mouth sucking gently as lust raced through my body. Before I knew it we were kissing again. His lips leading mine as we kissed passionately. One hand held my ass as the other traveled up my side and cupped my left breast with his thumb rubbing my nipple causing me to suck in a breath before I pushed him away and grabbed my towel off the floor and once again wrap it securely around me.

"Have you had your fill?" I asked him as I refused to look at him and instead looked down at the white tiled floor.

"No," He said allowing his anger to be heard as he walked out of the bathroom leaving me alone to my own thoughts. Did I want him? Of course I did. Then why didn't I take him? Because I can't. I sighed and pushed my wet hair out of my face before walking back to the girls' dorm to get dressed.
