"Hey dude!" Jin put an arm around Yoongi, glad his friend had not been late this morning. Most early mornings, Yoongi would refuse to get up even after Jihoon had pulled out his most alarming tricks to pry his older brother out of bed. His sheets seemed to be the only thing to the grey headed boy. Well that and dying his hair weird, daring colours that got him into trouble in school. He didn't seem to care though; his care was occupied in becoming some sort of music producer.
It seemed the entire Kwon family had at least one or two connections to music. His mother was a talented singer/song writer overseas; his father had been part of a prestigious pop band before he passed and his brother, Jihoon, loved to write music. He'd placed top in his school for musical creativity and song writing after writing the school's entire play at the end of the year. Now, despite having angrily threatened to hit several people with his guitar, it seemed he was revered for his musical talent.
Lastly, Yoongi revelled in the art of playing the piano, listening to different beats and combining them to make something completely new.
The Kwons were a musical bunch.
"Hey Jin." Yoongi answered blankly.
"You beat the bell today!" He congratulated his best friend. "What did our little Jihoon pull to get you outta bed this time?" He propped himself behind a chair in front of Yoongi, the leaning post between his legs.
"Ok first of all," Yoongi pointed a finger at him. "That word is now forbidden in our household apparently." Yoongi repeated Jihoon's words. "Second, he poured a freezing cold bucket of water on me and I shot right outta bed."
"You?" Jin's eyebrows rose. "You shot out of bed?" He was sceptical. "Are you sure we're talking about the same Kwon Yoongi?"
"Yes, the same one." He pointed to himself. "There's only one Kwon Yoongi around these parts." He leaned back on his chair, brought his biceps to the back of his head. "How's your boyfriend then?"
"What are you talking about?" Jin tried to act oblivious about the word 'boyfriend', but the blush on his cheeks didn't help him. The fact that Yoongi knew Jin like the back of his hand hindered his situation further.
"Oh, you know," Yoongi smirked. "the one you're thinking about right now." Yoongi said menacingly.
"I still haven't got a clue." Jin looked away at this point, sure he was going to lose the battle he was fighting in due time.
"Does captain of the basketball team ring a bell?" Yoongi leaned back onto his desk, carrying on with the interrogation.
"What bells are those words supposed to ring? Cuz I don't hear any."
One more thing was situated up his sleeve. A name that had the power to transform Jin into even more of a blushing mess, almost the colour of a ripe tomato. "Kim. Nam. Joon." Jin jumped. "I'm sure a bell rang there."
"Yes Mr. Kwon." An old man slapped a ruler in between the two nineteen year olds, startling them both. "That bell, would be the bell telling us that class has started."
"G'morning Mr. Sil." Yoongi nodded at him, but he was not amused in the slightest way, even though he scoffed at the greeting.
"Get your stuff out and face the front before I send you out." He turned back, walking back to his desk to take the morning register.
"Geez, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Jin sniggered as he whipped out his pink pencil case.
"It wasn't me Jin, I woke up with wet hair." They both laughed, earning them a shout from the grumpy Mr. Sil...

"Hey Yoongi." Jin called out to him, he'd fallen asleep in his chemistry lesson, one, because he'd been woken up early in the morning quite abruptly, damn kid. Two, because he used most of his energy screaming, running after and arguing with Jihoon. And three, his lunch was ill prepared because of the argument they had before their usual routines commenced. Yoongi lifted his head lazily, his chin landing back on the back of his forearm and looking up at his friend.
"Hmm?" He muttered in a husky voice?
"You wanna walk home together today?" Jin asked. Yoongi groaned at the mention of having to walk all the way home. He almost closed his eyes and drifted back to sleep, God knows he would've if Jin hadn't bribed him with food.
The two walked to the shoe lockers, making boisterous small talk filled with sexual innuendos. They quickly put their outdoor shoes on before exiting school grounds and making their way to Yoongi's house. Jin had promised to prepare dinner for them. Jin noticed the sunset in the sky, awing at its beauty.
"Wow," Jin dragged out the word, to annoy his best friend into talking more about normal things and not how good looking some of the boys in their classes were. "Look at the sunset Yoongi." Yoongi declined, kept his sight straight ahead of him. "YOONGI LOOK AT THE SUNSET!" Jin demanded, he sighed and shifted his small eyes toward the sun's deadly rays. Still, Yoongi wasn't quite as impressed with the sunset as Jin had been.
"Yes, the sunset is very beautiful." Yoongi agreed sarcastically. He didn't quite care whether the sun was beautiful or not. He just wanted to get home so Jin could cook him a meal, but he knew very well he wouldn't get that meal if he didn't oblige to whatever nonsense Jin made him do along the way. "Can we please go home now? I'm hungry af."
"Why are you using text terms out loud?"
"Because it was more of a hassle to say the actual words? Idfk!" He shot back at his elder friend. Jin shook his head, afraid one of his friends had been spending too much time staring at his mac book, and not socialising with actual people. A very valid assumption since it was true. Yoongi preferred the company of his electronics over having to interact with real life people, other than those he'd already been closely acquainted with.
"Whatever," As they got closer to the river bank, Yoongi's eyes wondered over to where that angel-faced boy was. And sure enough, he was there giving his earnings over to another homeless person, a child, probably around seven years old if not even younger. Yoongi gulped, knowing how hungry the guy must have been, and still going to be after giving up all his earnings like that. He caught Yoongi staring at him again, making that smile appear once more as he waved over to him. He flinched again, just as he had that same morning.
"Hey!" Jin hollered from around twenty metres ahead of him. "I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WANTED TO EAT!" Crap, Yoongi had stopped again without knowing. God dammit He raced after Jin, only to look back at him, the smiling stranger with a big heart...
