Yoongi and Jimin made their way out of the vicinity, when 8pm hit they were out of there, just as the older boy had promised. That was, after Yoongi had a stern talking to with Jimin's so called boss. He was a middle-aged man with a bulging stomach and facial hair growing out of his chin and above his cupid's bow. Yoongi didn't like the look of him, he wasn't sure someone who was so ordinarily dressed could be trusted. He'd watched how one-hour photo had changed a lovable Robin Williams turn into an obsessed psychopath throughout the movie, and he wasn't going to take any chances with this one. Twenty minutes past and Jimin was able to pry his protective friend away from his boss and convinced the older man to let him keep his gardening job for a while longer. Still, that didn't stop Yoongi from glaring at the middle-aged man as they left over his shoulder.
And off they went, over to Yoongi's house once again. What Yoongi had forgotten to mention was how Jin's parental temper would rise whenever one of his quote on quote 'children' were in any sort of trouble. Jimin was in for an earful when they got home to Yoongi's.
"You didn't have to swear at him like that." Jimin sulked as they got off the bus and entered the chilled summer temperature of the sun setting in Seoul. Yoongi shook his head and tried to convince Jimin that there was every need to speak to one's employer like that.
"Yeah I did." Yoongi protested, without even an ounce of regret for the over the top warning he'd given the man who, probably didn't even know what he was talking about half the time. "The streets are a harsh life Jimin, you can't trust everyone you meet even if they look like they wouldn't hurt a fly." He recalled Robin Williams again, using him as his prime justification for doing what he did. "And besides, he looked way too normal to be normal."
"What does that even mean?" Jimin whined, carding a frustrated hand through his hair and pulling at the ends of it. "I could have lost my job, you're lucky he paid me after everything you said back there." He scrunched his face up when he took his hand from his greasy raven hair and witnessed the now dry, earthy substance that had built a home in his hair in the last thirty minutes they'd stayed in the hospital gardens.
"You don't even have to work there you know." Yoongi groaned. "You could freeload at our house for a while, I'm not going anywhere for college."
"Hyung I couldn't do that..." Jimin had this habit. He didn't like burdening people or depending on anyone if he knew they had their own troubles to take care of, besides him. He didn't like the feeling of depending on anyone if it meant he couldn't do anything in return. And more often than not, that was the case. Whether anyone would admit it or not, he knew he was homeless, he had next to nothing and all his belongings were kept in this winter coat he picked up on the street. People took advantage of him, tried to use him for money because he was pretty... he didn't believe it. He didn't believe he was pretty.
"Bullshit." Yoongi scoffed. "Unlike the people on the streets Jimin, the four of us under this roof," he shuffled round in his pockets for his keys and pointed to the door of his residence. "care about you." And he was more than right. Yoongi couldn't remember a time in which he cared more about a person so unfamiliar to him than the grubby human being stood behind him in fabled form. (because seriously, who looks that good and is still homeless?) Jin would say the same thing, if only he were there at the right time.
Jimin retorted with a sceptical look, however, remembering the look and attitude Jihoon had given him when he'd seen him last. "I hardly think that's the case-"
"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!" Jin screamed at the top of his lungs, his loud voice could probably be heard from Namsan tower in central Seoul.
"Observe." Yoongi gestured over to the kitchen and pulled the startled boy over to the dining area, confident his theory among many would most likely get backed up by Kim Seokjin himself.
