Yoongi woke up again, the ceiling was the first thing that greeted him as he turned his gaze to the clock. 6:25. He'd woken up five minutes before his alarm. That never happened, maybe he was hallucinating the numbers on the hands of time. He looked again, grabbing the alarm clock after rubbing the sleep out of his eyes... 6:26. He rolled his eyes at the time and collapsed back into bed like it was necessary to get another four minutes of sleep.
"Hyung..." Jihoon walked into the room, right on schedule, the door creaking as he turned the handle. His hair sticking up in all different directions, and a raspy morning voice escaping his lips. "C'mon, this is the fifth time this week..." he grumbled with his eyes half open, approaching his brother's dishevelled sanctuary and collapsing on the end of Yoongi's bed. It wasn't something he did normally, but today wasn't one that was treating the two Kwons very well.
Jihoon attended band practice from eight till one in the cruel morning (they had booked to play at a concert near the end of the month), he didn't get home until thirty minutes later since his school was a gruelling thirty-minute journey on foot from his house. On top of that, he'd stupidly decided he couldn't be bothered to wait for the bus.
Yoongi... was just Yoongi. No particular day really held anything special for him. All he could look forward to was going back to his bed and getting as much broken sleep as he could, since undisturbed sleep wasn't an option for him. There would always be something spoiling his goodnight slumbers. Whether it was the neighbours blasting heavy metal across the road, or the recurring dream he couldn't get rid of... there was always something keeping him from sleeping well at night.
"Hyung!" Jihoon whined again. "We need to get up! It's already like six forty-five!" He said, his eyes lidded now, and full of sleep. Yoongi still refused to get up, stirring on the bed as he tried to get comfortable in a different position.
"I can skip school today Hoonie." He mumbled into his comforter. "No one wants me there anyway." Jihoon felt heat rushing to his cheeks, blood boiling with frustration.
"What are you talking about?!" He leaped up on the bed. "JIN HYUNG WANTS YOU THERE SO GET UP BEFORE WE'RE BOTH LATE AND BEATEN BY MOM AND JIN HYUNG!" Yoongi looked up at his younger brother, knowing how right he was. Still, Yoongi never liked taking orders, especially from Jihoon. He tucked himself back into bed, closed his dark hazel eyes. "OK! YOU ASKED FOR IT!" Jihoon jumped and plummeted down on top of his older brother, earning a grunt from Yoongi as he landed awkwardly on his stomach. "GET UP DAMN YOU!"
"GOD DAMMIT KWON JIHOON!" A hot headed Yoongi pushed his younger brother off his half dead body and scurried off the bed as scheduled, running for the door, just like every other morning in the Kwon residence. One of Yoongi's few joys in the bitter world most people called home...

Yoongi yawned as he mounted his bag pack a onto his back and opened the front door to a storm of rain filled skies. "It's too early for this man!" Yoongi groaned as he closed the door, only to turn around and find that his brother had already fetched a pair of umbrellas from the shoe closet.
"Don't try to come back in," he smirked. "I know you, you have a tendency to sneak back into bed when you see bad weather."
"Don't be a smart ass and let's go." He grabbed an umbrella and scooted out of the door in an unhurried hurry.
"Chih." Jihoon scoffed as he opened the umbrella, protecting himself from the heavy fall of the cold, wet rain. "I'm gonna go spend the night at Kookie's, band practice." He said simply, Yoongi liked the idea of being home alone at night. Or alone at any given time. "See you later hyung." He waved as he went the opposite way to his older, more sleep deprived brother. Yoongi waved lazily, but he didn't look back at his brother, his eyes were barely keeping open as he trudged through the loud drops of rain hitting his only layer of dry protection.
"Way too early for this kind of weather." He moaned as he let out another yawn, not bothering to cover his mouth this time, his hand stayed in his pocket, not prepared to let them feel the freeze of the cold liquid, his hands were quite sensitive to the cold... especially when it was soaking wet as well as near plummeting temperatures.
"Yah kid!" He heard a voice. It was that voice. Sweet. Quiet, but he still heard it nonetheless. He wondered why it sounded so amplified to him while everyone else passed it by like it was just another voice. Just another person. Yoongi turned his head to the origin of the voice. He didn't know where to look at first, but he heard it again, "Come here! I wanna give you something!" and he nearly snapped his head trying to find the source of the heavenly sound. He found himself setting eyes on the handsome homeless person he was caught staring at just days before, a robe wrapped around him to keep oneself warm. He was also holding an old, battered umbrella over his head. Though damaged, it was still usable to someone who was desperate to keep dry in that gruesome weather. He wondered, was that the umbrella he lent him that first time he saw him?
The kid reluctantly rushed to him, dirty, soaked to the bone and he looked as if he hadn't eaten in days. "Here." He offered the child the umbrella. The young kid widened his eyes and held a gaze to the handsome homeless man. He shook his head and tried to refuse the homeless resident's offer. "Go on kid, take it, you need it more than I do." He took the child's tiny palm and placed the handle of the umbrella in them. "You're still growing, we can't have you catching a cold, now can we? And besides, what would your mother think of me if she saw me dry while you stand there, soaked in the rain?" The child looked down, about to cry with happiness. "Take it... take it for your mother." He clutched the umbrella handle and stepped back a little, making sure he wasn't in the kind man's way before he bowed and ran back to who knows where. Yoongi was too focused on the homeless person's ever smiling face as he watched the child run in the rain, no longer being tormented by the torturous cold of the water plummeting from the sky.
And then he glanced at his watch. 8:00 "Shit, I'm gonna be late!" He cursed and ran for the warning bell...

"I MADE IT!" he hollered as he slouched in his seat next to an actively reading Jin.
"Only just, again." He closed the book and tried not to notice how drenched Yoongi's school pants were, the water toward the bottom of his school trousers seemed to want to climb upwards.

"Why are you late this time?" Jin rested his chin on the back of his hand, unimpressed by Yoongi's near tardy means of travel.
"I'm not late." Yoongi answered as he fiddled with a strand of his damp, dusty coloured hair.
"Well why were you nearly late then?" Jin asked, annoyed with the first answer he got from his best friend.
"There's no real reason..." Yoongi grinned, taking off his back pack and hanging it on the side hanger of his desk. "...I was just watching miracles happen and lost track of time..."
