"Cynthia... Cynthia... Wake up." I heard a voice say. I swatted the hand away and turned my head away. "Cynthia wake up or you'll be late for school." The voice sounds a lot like Hunter. "I'll go tomorrow then." Even though my eyes weren't open, I knew someone was walking in. "Well what about me?" A voice said with humor. My eyes shot open at the familiar sound. "Do you wanna see me tomorrow too?" I slowly sat up since I was laying on my back and slowly turned to face the person. My eyes widened. With elegant speed, I jumped off my bed and ran to hug Liu. My arms wrapped around him as I hid my face in his chest and crushed him. His laughter filled the air and his arms wrapped around me. "Hey shorty, how ya been?" He asked after kissing my forehead. Tears filled my eyes and I started sniffling a bit. "Lonely. How are you out of the hospital?" I asked, my eyes slightly red. He wiped my tears away and said, "When I woke up this morning, I had doctors and nurses rushing in and out saying stuff like I am able to leave today and no more bruises and I healed." That made me smile but then I remembered something. "What about when Jeff sliced you on your face and chest?" He gave out a sigh and put two fingers under my chest and made me look up at him.
Stitches... Stitches everywhere! Across his nose, on his cheeks, and don't forget forehead too. But the most terrifying one was on his mouth. A stitched smile. Up to his cheekbones! Tears filled my eyes and ran down my own cheeks. 'The anger, the sadness, oh Jeff will pay!' Liu sighed sadly again and nodded. "Docs kept saying they won't heal. Some type of poison was on the knife and I had to have a special type of thread to keep them stitched. It was devastating at first but I got used to it." I nodded my head and dried my tears and buried my head in his chest. "Besides, I am fine now. Roy over there decided to adopt me. Isn't that great?!" I looked up at him shocked, then at Roy and Hunter who are sitting on my bed. "Thank you..." Both nodded and fist bumped each other. Okay they are probably the cutest couple I've seen. "So um, I have to get ready for school now and uh I need ya to get out." The three boys chuckled and left me to my empty room. Well, not really empty as yesterday. There's some boxes in here labeled 'clothes' or 'shoes' or stuff like that with my name under them and some with Liu's name. Guess we're sharing a room.
I started stripping from my clothes and stayed in my underwear. I got the clothes I bought yesterday and pulled off the tags before putting them on. It was just basically a black tank top, black jacket, black skinny jeans, black beanie and black converse. I did say my outfit was all black, now didn't I? After doing that, I did the early necessities before grabbing my backpack and shoulder bag and heading down stairs. I turned right into the dining room. The room is simply a brownish and gold room. A brown table with gold chairs, slight gold walls, a brown carpet with gold designs. It feels like Autumn in here. I saw the three boys sitting at the table and talking. They quieted down when they saw me and I gave a weak smile. "What time is it?" I asked stealing an apple off the table. "Seven thirty." Roy said. I nodded my head and sat down real quick. "Anyways, who's taking me to school?" Liu's hand shot up. Uh uh. No way. He came this morning from the hospital and he's only seventeen. I shook my head and bit in that apple. "You just came home, you're under-aged, and freaking savage to shoot your hand up in front of detectives who know you're under-aged." I said with amusement. He gave a smug look and shrugged. "What can I say? It's in my blood." We all laughed and decided Roy will take me from now on. Fine by me.
When I reached the front doors of my school, I turned to give Roy a wave. He waved goodbye and drove off. People on campus stared at me then at the fleeting Tesla. They can only wish they had one. Whispers started immediately:
'I thought she died along with her parents.'
'The killer's sister is on our grounds.'
'She should've died with her useless parents.'
'She framed my Jeffy, I know she did it.'
