"I scream for everything that has gone wrong in our lives."

"How are you feeling?"

"How are you feeling?"

"Fine."

"After all that's happened-"

"I said I'm fine." I interrupt her.

"Your dad, do you go visit him sometimes?"

"No." I say glaring at the floor. I hear the sound of her pen gliding on the paper on top of her clipboard, I restrain myself, and don't put my hands on my ears.

"Why not?" She says, pushing her glasses further up her nose.

"Because I hate him," I say bluntly and look at her blankly.

"It's been a year, I'm sure-"

"I don't care. No matter how many years go past, I will still hate him." I interrupt her once again.

She changes the subject.
"How's your mom?"

I relax a tad bit.
"She's actually better. The chemo seems to be working at a good rate, according to the doctors." I smile softy.

"Does she go visit your dad?"

I scowl.
"She wants to."

"Then why doesn't she?"

"Because I don't let her. I don't understand why she wants to see him, she should not even think about him." I close my eyes briefly.

"Maybe she's moved on." Doctor Kellen says with raised eyebrows.

I scoff.
"No, she hasn't. Sometimes the littlest of things make her remember him."

"Then why do you think she wants to?"

I look at her straight in the eyes.
"Because after all he has done, she still loves him."

"
