Movie Night

Ben POV
Mal wanted to watch a movie with me so we are now in my room finding a movie to watch on Netflix.

"I wanna watch something sad."  Mal says as I'm clicking through the collection of movies and shows that Netflix offers.

"Why?" I ask questionably

"I don't know I just feel like watching something that'll make me cry, you know?"

"No I really don't 'know' but we can watch one anyway. Just don't get mad if I fall asleep." I laugh.

She didn't find that funny.

Mal took the remote and I put my arm around her shoulders as we settle into the couch.

She stops at a movie titled 'A Girl Like Her', and I read the description out loud.
"A hidden camera and a documentary being filmed on campus help a bullied, suicidal, high schooler turn the tables on her queen-bee tormentor."

"Look Ben it even has 5 stars." "Ok sure lets watch it."

..........1 hour and 31 minutes later..........

"OMG THAT MOVIE WAS SO SAD *sniffle* I CANT BRETHE IM CRYING SO HARD OMG"  Mal cried.

Mal  was crying so hard I thought she was gonna faint. "Mal it's ok, the girl didn't die  and Avery is gonna fix her ways it's okay stop crying."

"I CANT" Mal cried some more

I hugged her and she cried into my shirt.
I rubbed her back to try to get her to stop crying...that failed.

That movie was sad though. I don't blame Mal for crying just not THIS HARD.
Like her face is now red and I'm still trying to get her to calm down.

The crying stops and I realize she cried herself to sleep.

I guess I'll just watch Bobs Burgers or something while Mal is sleeping beautifully on my chest with her adorable tear stained face.

I chuckle at how much that movie touched Mal.

I didn't know she was that sensitive.

I give her a kiss and fall asleep, with the TV being the only thing lighting up the room.

A/N A Girl Like Her is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time and it really opens your eyes as to how big of a problem bullying is and when I watched it I was crying as hard as Mal was in this chapter TBH 😂 like the crying emoji 😭 is an understatement to how much I was crying. Like if you seriously have a Netflix account seriously watch this movie because this movie is amazing you wouldn't regret spending 1 hour and 31 minutes watching this movie it is just wow and omg and dang mixed up in a big ball of interesting. Go on Netflix and search for "A Girl Like Her" because it's probably one of the best movies you'll ever see.
