Stressed Out

Mal had been stressed lately.

Her friends noticed, her teachers noticed.

But most importantly, Ben noticed.

She was currently sitting on her floor, hugging her knees, sobbing.

It became too much for her, all the schoolwork.

She had at least two assignments for every class and three tests tomorrow.

She couldn't go to the tourney game tonight because of all the homework she had, the thought of all the work made her angry and the madder she got the more she cried.

She was a mess. No makeup. Sweat pants. Large T-shirt. Unattractive messy bun. Tear stained face.

She didn't want anyone to see her like this.

Especially Ben.

But that's exactly who walked through her door.

"Mal?" He said into the room with papers scattered all over the floor. Music blaring through Mal's phone. She  claimed it helped her focus.

Wasn't helping her focus now.

Damn it. Mal thought as Ben made his way over to her.

He then kneeled down next to her and gave her a hug, rubbing her back after understanding what the problem was. They stayed like this for a good 10 minutes, Mal sobbing into his tourney jersey the whole time.

After the two of them cuddling in silence, with occasional sniffles from Mal, the purple haired fairy fell asleep.

Ben gently picked Mal up and placed her on the bed.

He texted Evie telling her to stay out with Doug for a little longer (the two of them were at the after party for Auradon's win today, as well as the rest of the school).

He then made his way over to the homework, and after 3 hours, it was completed in Mal's handwriting.

One of Ben's hidden talents was how he could impersonate anyone's handwriting. He never used it much or told anyone he could, they probably would use him.

After he completed the homework, he wrote down notes for Mal's three tests she would have later the next day.

He placed the work on Mal's nightstand, took a sticky note, and wrote ";) love ya" on the note and posted it onto the stack of papers.

He kissed Mal and the cheek, who was still silently sleeping her stress away, and quietly left the room.

The next morning, Mal realized that Ben was the guy she needed to spend the rest of her life with.
