¤¤¤¤¤¤'¤¤¤¤¤¤¤'¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤'¤¤¤¤'It's been two months since homecoming, Christian has done everything possible to get my attention, including walk by with multiple girls on his arms. It doesn't even bother me.
Although, Matthew has had a couple girls on his arm lately. I don't want to think about him, just because I know I'll get jealous.
He isn't mine, and I. Am not his...
"Izzy wake up!" I hear Cherrel say through my sleepy haze.
"Yea?" I say quietly. I know it's winter break so there is no school.
"Derek and the guys are going sledding up on little park."
Uhg. Snow. I sit up and rub the sleep out of my eyes, my mickey mouse clock says it's 7:08 a.m.
"Do they, want me to go?" I ask, Derek is cool but him and his friends are on the popular side of life and they are seniors.
"Oh course dear, he told me to come wake you up. They are leaving in ten minutes. I got you a snow suit and some snow boots."
She hands me a blue water proof fluffy jumper and matching pants. With a pair of black boots. Both have the Carheart logo on them. I bid her thanks and she walks out of my room.
I quickly put on a pair of leggings and jeans over them. Then a long sleeve with a t-shirt over that.Socks obviously and then I brush my hair and teeth. Now, the dreaded carhearts. After I put them on I look on the mirror.
Fuck my life. I look like a blue marshmallow! "Izzy! You ready?" I hear Derek call. I run down the he stairs.
"Smirf-et look suits you well." I smack Derek and walk to the kitchen.
"You ever been sledding before?" Nope.
"I don't think I have. Why is that a problem?" I ask.
He looks like he might jump up and down in joy any minute. "Oh no, it just means I found something I am better than you at." I roll my eyes and grab a bottle of water.
"Who all is going?" He ponders for a second before replying,
"you, me, Jake, tucker, Matt, Lindsay, Ashley, Heather, Mark, Jared, Alex, and Jason." I know four out of eleven. This will be fun.
we walk out of the house where tucker is sitting shot gun. "Tucker, get the fuck out of the front seat." I say pointing to the back seat.
"Izzy, love, you're so funny." He says.
I laugh. "Tucker, remember what I did to Christian? During the dance and the football game?" He stares blankly at me before moving to the back seat.
I laugh at him and shrug off the mumbled cuss words he sends me. "So, um. How does this sledding thing work exactly?"
I ask, not liking the sudden lack of noise. "Well, you grab a tube. Like the ones in the back of the truck. And you haul them up the hill and sit or lay on them as you are uncontrollably sliding and spinning down the hill. No biggie." He says in a sing song voice.
Great. More things for me to worry about. Other than getting ran over. I have to not flip over. "Don't worry Izz, it's fun. Just don't close your eyes. Then you crash." Tucker says from the back seat.
"I am not worried. Just hate being up so early." And with that, I fall in to a short but sweet sleep.
T/L:20-45 minutes.
