"Raven!" Caiden yelled as loud as he could.
"Here!"
When he finally found her she was bleeding slightly and had multiple bruises.
"What happened?" He asked.
"They hit and kicked for ages," she answered.
"Oh, no," Caiden said with a worried tone, "We're f-ked."
She started laughing.
"You are way too serious."
"The person I'm traveling with to save my classmates has been beat up by aliens, and you're telling me that I'm too serious."
"Whatever."
"You. Are. So. Annoying."
"Of all the years that you've known me, I think that's the first time you said that."
"Haha," Caiden said sarcastically.
"Help me get up," Raven told him.
He got her up and they started walking.
"Where are we gonna sleep?" Raven asked.
"How should I know?" Caiden answered, "Somewhere under a tree probably."
"Good, I be back in action in the morning."
"Let's stop under that big tree," Caiden suggested.
"Yeah, It's getting late, I need mah rest," Raven agreed.
They sat down made a fire with the lighter, a rock lined fire pit, and a mat with pine tree branches to sleep on.
"Let's eat half of the sandwiches now," Raven said.
"It's a good thing I remembered to bring them," Caiden told her.
They got out the sandwiches and ate them in silence. When they finished, Raven took off her fluffy jacket that was on top of her sweatshirt and used it as a pillow. Then Caiden took the thick bag and stuffed some pine needles and leaves into it and he used that as a pillow.
"See you in the morning," Raven whispered as she prostrated herself, face up, onto the sweet smelling, pine branch mat.
"Goodnight," Caiden whispered back as he started lying down.
Though, he didn't go to sleep. he started thinking about their friends. how they were worrying about them.
He got out his watch and called Isaac.
"Hello?"
"Isaac?"
"Yeah."
"Turn on the camera."
"Oh, yes, that."
The screen turned to Isaac's face.
"Hi," Isaac said.
"Tired yet?"
"Kat and Ivy went to sleep," Isaac answered," But I'm thinking about too many things at once."
"Found Raven," Caiden noted.
"Noticed," Isaac told him, "I can see her in the camera."
"Gods. I wish we could do this week over again."
"Ditto."
"You guys hungry?"
"Very much."
Caiden sighed, "Well that's too bad."
"Wow, thanks."
"Thank you for noticing my awesomeness," said Caiden mockingly formal.
"You. Are. Crazy."
"Well, I hope you guys are alright."
"Thanks," Isaac said.
"Need to sleep now," Caiden said, feeling tired.
"Well," Isaac told him, "see you tomorrow, I guess."
Then the screen went blank.
Caiden laid down on the mat, closed his eyes and went to sleep.
♣♣♣
When Caiden woke up Raven was still asleep.
Caiden got up and checked for their supplies.
Sword? Check. Knives? Check. Soda? Check. Looks like we're good.
"Raven! Get up it's almost seven o'clock!" He yelled.
"Nnnnggg..."
"Get up, please."
"Ugh, fine."
She got up and brushed off the leaves and pine needles that adhered to her pants.
"We should probably eat the other half of our sandwich now."
"Yeah, okay."
They ate the rest of the sandwiches in silence.
"Let's go." Raven said after the finished, "Want to get there before twelve."
"Yeah, let's go."
They made their way back to the sidewalk and then followed the direction from Caiden's watch They walked for about an hour and a half until they got to the point closest to the ship on the sidewalk before they had to start walking in the forest.
When they finally got there, they were attacked by a large army of the reptilian aliens, but they were ready.
