Lucas grabbed Maya's hand, tears falling down his cheeks.
"Maya, no. Please just don't leave! I'm sorry for what I did, I-I didn't mean it! I promise, just don't leave me, please..." Lucas cried, getting on both his knees and begging her to stay.
"You think I'm leaving you? That's not what's happening here! You left me, alone, in my room, while I was crying, because all the family I had left was gone, and now I find out you've been with Missy all this time? What kind of sick game are you playing? I don't want to be part of a game, Lucas! I don't want to be played, anymore. Just, let go of me, and you could go back to your pretty little girlfriend Missy while I go into the woods and rot," Maya snapped back, yanking her hand out of his grip and pushing Lucas, causing him to fall.
She slammed the door of their apartment and raced out into the rain, before setting off for who-knows-where.
Lucas stayed there, on the floor, contemplating on his life choices. 'I shouldn't have done that, I shouldn't have done that, and I never will again,' he thought, anger beginning to fuel up inside him.
"I will find you, Maya Hart. And I hope you know it's because I love you."
