Juliet's POV:
"I bet you can't run from here to there in three seconds", I challenged Barry, pointing at a pole that was a couple of miles away from us. We were currently at STAR Labs' testing field since there wasn't much to do in this town.
"Make it one second and I'll accept the challenge", Barry said smugly and positioned himself to run.
"On your marks", I said, tapping on the camera icon so that I could take a video of this phenomenon that Barry claimed he could do.
"Get set", I followed, clicking the record button and preparing myself for the last word that I had to say
"Aaaaaaand, GO", I yelled, dragging out the word purposely.
I suddenly felt a strong gush of wind propel me slightly backwards as Barry sprinted towards the pole that I told him to go to. I watched how red lightning streaks were trailing after Barry's figure, letting off small sparks along the way.
"Okay, I'm back", Barry said confidently and slowly walked towards my shocked body. How was it even possible that he could run so fast? He must've been right next to the particle accelerator for him to get such powers!
I stopped the video that I was recording and took note of the duration of it. "It took one second! Like how?!", I shrieked and started moving my index finger back and forwards from the pole to Barry.
I then felt Barry breathing down my neck as he towered over me, trying to watch the video on my phone. It felt weird having Barry this close to me so I moved slightly forward, trying to create distance between us.
"Why don't we play 21 questions?", Barry suggested after noticing the distance between us. "Why would you want to?", I chuckled and shook my head at him.
"Let's be honest, we don't know everything about each other. I mean, I don't even know your bra size", Barry sighed and shook his head.
My head shot towards Barry who seemed unfazed by his statement. "Why don't we just Netflix & chill?", I asked innocently, not aware of the actual meaning of the phrase.
"Oh, Netflix & chill?", Barry enquired with a perfectly raised eyebrow.
"Yes, it means we'll just chill and watch some Netflix together", I stated in a duh tone.
"I think you should go Google the definite meaning of that phrase. You'll be surprised", Barry said smugly and ran his fingers through his hair as if it were second nature for him to do.
"So first question, what bra size are you?", Barry asked, breaking the comfortable silence that surrounded us. Giving Barry a fake smile, I turned around and tried to think of a witty reply but he beat me to it.
"Okay forget that one. Clearly it's too big of a number to remember. Your turn", he boomed, turning to walk towards the lab. I followed his lead and caught up to him.
"Okay, So why did you make a decision to become a forensic scientist?", I enquired while I was adjusting my short legs to his pace. My word, Barry sure needed to slow down!
"Well, since my mom passed away, I felt like I had to fight crime and injustice in the most effective way. As soon as I got my powers though, I realized that I could lead the life I've always wanted to live; to find justice for people, my mother specifically", Barry explained as we reached the entrance of the quartex.
"Mr Allen", a cold voice articulated, breaking my eye contact from Barry and sending a shiver down my spine.
"Oh, sorry I didn't see you there Ms Ramon", Dr Wells added, extending his greeting by offering a friendly smile that didn't quite seem to reach his icy, blue eyes.
