Chapter 3

Barry's POV

I contemplated on where I should take Juliet for our informal coffee date.

Eventually I just decided on having coffee at CC Jitters. As I pushed the door and held it open for Juliet, she started blushing profusely while smiling at me.

I grinned happily and laughed at this young woman in front of me. Cisco clearly lied to me when he said that religion dominated her whole lifestyle. With her short skirt showing off her long, tanned legs and her top revealing a fraction of her stomach; it didnt seem reserved at all, it appeared more provocate and sexy.

As I looked up to her face, a disgusted expression stared right back at me.

"Listen here Barry, I don't appreciate your eyes gazing at my body, it's disrespectful", she preached. I smiled at her...clearly she was still new to the business.

"So tell me Juliet, what is your story?", I asked her inquisitively. As she heard this, she froze and plastered a massive grin on her face.

"Well, I'm here to study law. And to get away from my mother....the stories that Cisco told you about me, its true", she confessed. I glanced at Juliet, her radiant smile and honesty towards me; my faith in girls was finally restored.

Just as I was about to answer her, Eddie and Iris came strolling to our table hand in hand.

Seeing the two of them together brought a sudden blaze of fury to my mind. Juliet noticed this and hesitantly placed her hand on mine. I looked at her and my face lit up when she smiled and playfully blew a kiss to me. I caught it and we then both burst into a fit of laughter.

"Hey there Barry, nice to see you again! Woah, who's this pretty girl?", Iris asked.

"Iris, this is Juliet, my girlfriend. Julie, this is my friend, Iris West", I said while widening my eyes motioning for Juliet to play along.

Juliet's POV:

WHAT DID HE JUST SAY?????!!!!!!! I stared at Barry, speechless. He looked at me with desperation in his eyes while Iris smiled at me.

"Oh yeah, Barry and I are like a WiFi router and a phone, we connect brilliantly, you know?", I said casually. This was getting slightly awkward, I thought while scratching my head.

Clearly, the man next to Iris found my awkwardness hilarious as he stifled his laughter politely.

"Oh, this is Eddie, my boyfriend ", Iris announced motioning to the blonde man with the pretty blue eyes next to her. I waved at him but dropped my hand immediately when he winked at me.

"We have to get going, I have to take Julie here to the college in town to go register. Come on, let's go sweetie", Barry said coldly while grabbing my wrist and dragging me out of CC Jitters.

"Okay then", I moaned while following Barry like a sheep.

"You. Are. Going. To. Regret. This. Allen.", I muttered, emphasizing each word.

"Hurry up or I'll kiss you in front of them", Barry whispered in my ear as he grabbed me and pulled me into an embrace, assuring Eddie and Iris that everything was okay between us.

That thought of Barry's threat stuck in my head for the rest of the day. Imagine that: Barry Allen kissing me?

My lips connecting with his soft, pink ones. The feeling of fireworks exploding in my stomach🔥....Oh dear, I can't think of such sinful acts, my soul will never go to heaven...

As we power walked back to STAR Labs, Barry casually brought up the whole 'dating' thing.

"Listen Juliet, I know we've just met but I need you to make a promise to me. Don't tell Iris that I made up our relationship. Its just that I want to make her jealous so that she'll date me."

My heart shattered into little pieces when he uttered that sentence. Not only did Barry use me as his emotional puppet but he also implied that he and I will never have a future together......but wait, why did I feel this way? I don't even like him....I don't...

"Of course Barry, I'll go with the flow", I said teasingly. "But I still think that you are the prettiest foreign around here", Barry muttered under his breath ,and to my luck, loud enough for me to hear.

I better control myself, I can't afford to fall for a boy with a bad past....
