Chapter 6

Alan's POV
"Kellin who's all gonna be at this thing?" I asked curious. I loved being around Kellin's family, especially his mom. It was also nice to be around people who accepted me for me.

My mother left when I was around 12 and my dad well we had a good enough relationship. We weren't close mainly because of the fact that I was gay. He didn't really care for it. He never criticized me for it, it was never brought up. After I told him the first time he just asked me if I was sure and when I told him I was positive, nothing more was said on the subject. He just ignores the fact really.

"Just like my mom and dad. My sister may show up but I doubt."
"I've missed them." I said thinking of how they treated me like their own.

"They've missed you. More than you can imagine. Every time they call it's Alan this and Alan that, oh! I got this cute shirt for Alan the other day, my parents love you to death." Kellin said.

"Haha that sounds like your mom." I chuckled as we pulled in their driveway.
We walked to the door and Kellin didn't bother knocking.

As soon as we stepped in I was tackled in a hug. I wrapped my arms around the woman and smiled.
"Alan dear I missed you so much!" Kellin's mom exclaimed as she let me go.
"I've missed you to Mama Bostwick."

Kellin never goes by his actual last name, and it's funny seeing his reaction when people call him by it.

"Well it seems you like our  practically adopted ginger child better than your own son." Kellin said and fake sobbed.

"Kellin Quinn you quit it right now. I've missed my little Alan. I have to hear form you every day now shush."

"I see where Kellin gets his sass from." I said.
"You know it." Mama Bostwick said and snapped her fingers in a zig zag line.

"Hey mom where's dad?" Kellin asked as we followed his mom into the living room.
"Upstairs. Now I have chicken to check." She said and went to the kitchen.

Kellin sprawled out on the couch and I joined him. We were practically laying on each other, but neither minded. It was like we were little kids again.

"Hey boys." Kellin's dad said stepping in the living room.

"Old man Bostwick!" I said and held my hand up for a high five. When I was younger it used to be Mama Bostwick and Daddy Bostwick, but as I got older it was weird to call him Daddy Bostwick. So he became Old Man Bostwick.

"How's my favorite child?" He asked and sat on the empty recliner. They loved to bug Kellin by calling me their favorite.

"Ehh I'm good. Kellin is squishing me tho." I complained.
"Kellin move." His dad said with a laugh.
"You wish." Kellin said and playfully smacked my leg.

"Foods ready!" His mom called out and all three of us jumped up and ran into the dining room.

We filled are plates with steaming vegetables and chicken to die for. After every single thing was gone. Me and Kellin washed dishes and cleaned, just like we did when we were younger.

"I'm so full. I think I'm gonna die. It was really good." I said. That was the most I had eaten in a while.
Mama Bostwick looked up and smiled "I'm glad Alan dear." She kissed me on the cheek and sat down next to her husband on the couch.

Kellin and I both yawned at the same time which sent us into a laughing fit.
"Boys nap time." Kellin's mom said looking at us.

"Mom we're 19 not 6." Kellin said.
"Your tummies are full and your yawning. I'm not having my boys drive like this. You could wreck. Now go upstairs and sleep. I'll wake you both up in a couple hours." She said talking to us like little kids who had just gotten in trouble. We laughed but did as she said anyway.
