Q&A Part 7: Why do I write in multiple POVs?

@kaylalulu asks: I noticed that in your novels you lean towards multiple point of views. Is it because the supporting characters know more information or to let the reader view the situation from another thought process?

It's because one of my favorite things about writing is getting a different perspective. I love looking at a scene, or an object, or a person, or an event from different sets of eyes. 

Think about The Hunger Games. Katniss would look at a knife and think, weapon. Peeta would look at it and think, tool for cutting bread. And Effie Trinket would just think of it as decoration on a table. 

That's why I write different perspectives. I love thinking about how different people can look at the same thing and think entirely different things.
