Honestly? My favorite book is whichever one I'm working on at the moment. There's so much joy in writing, and even joy in editing as I figure out how to put all the pieces together. I love creating a book, from start to finish, so whichever book I'm in the process of creating is my favorite. Once they're published, they're sort of out of my mind.
This means the currently, my favorite book is the super-secret fantasy novel about necromancy I'm working on. I really love this book. But I'm already thinking about the next thing, a horror...my love is scattered!
(That said, Across the Universe will always have a special place in my heart because it started my career, and A World Without You is likely going to be the most personal book I ever write.)
