@bazpitch asks: when you're writing, do you sometimes get off track and find yourself writing something that doesn't fit in with the plot and have to erase paragraphs sometimes pages?

Oh, my sweet summer child. I've had to erase whole books. 

Everything after Chapter 3 in Shades of Earth was deleted and rewritten. 

For A World Without You, the novel started without having Phoebe as a narrating character, and more than half the book was done as a letter (Bo writing to Sofía). I can count the number of scenes on one hand that made it unscathed to the final draft.
