@JooCesarCantinho asks: Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
I talked a little bit about CS Lewis, and how his books taught me there was more to a story than ink and paper, and about JK Rowling, and how her books taught me that there can be humor and entertainment in a deeper story. So for this answer, I'm going with a poet, Emily Dickinson. Her poetry is so tight--there's so much meaning in just a few words, and it's obvious she very carefully chooses words and phrases. Sometimes I get careless with prose, and the only cure is to read poetry. Hers is some of the best.
