I watched Neru run out the door in tears. I looked down at the arms that just embraced her warm body. I closed my blue eyes and thought back a few moments ago. I finally hugged Neru...

~Memory/Flashback~

I ended up losing the present i was going to give Mum for her birthday. It cost me all my pocket money and i don't think i can afford to buy a new necklace. It was so expensive that i could'nt believe i was spending so much money on something i wasn't going to keep, but Rin forced me to buy it so i kinda had no choice.

I checked all over school and all of my friends couldn't bother helping me so i was stuck to search after school myself. I groaned, just finishing looking at the sand pit.

Neru: Um, L-Len. I-Is this yours?

I turned around and saw Neru. She wore her hair down today (something very rare) and was holding a golden-chained diamond necklace in her palms. I gasped, immediately snatching it out of her hands. It was my Mum's necklace! Yes!

I hugged Neru in happiness and when i pulled back she immediately turned red.

Len: Thank you so much!

Neru smiled brightly which made me somehow blush. I could feel my heart race but i ignored it.

Neru offered to lend me some money to get it cleaned. I gladly accepted but acting a little sincere since i didn't want to act ungentlemanly. We just finished visitng the repair and i was staring at it in amazement on how well it was fixed.

Len: Awesome! Mum will definitely be proud of me for getting her this!

Neru: I think she's always proud of you. You're a great and fun person with lots of friends. She should be very proud of you; with gift, or not

I turned to Neru who gave me another adorable smile. I looked away, feeling myself blush again. I was about to put away the necklace in my bag but a stupid bird flew into my face and i accidentally threw the necklace in the air.

Neru/Len: The necklace!

Neru jumped to catch it but fell in the pond in the process.

Len: Neru!

I ran to her and offered my hand. She kindly accepted it and showed me the clean necklace tangled in her hair. I laughed and pulled her out.

After putting the necklace in my bag safely, Neru and i were now just sitting in the park.

Len: You know...i was so worried if i lost that necklace. Ever since my Dad died Mum has changed so much. This necklace was the only thing that kept a little part of her for these past few months

Neru stood up and hugged me from behind. I didn't push her away and just accepted the warmth she provided. Even though she was still a little damp, i felt warmer than ever before.

Neru: Mostly it is loss which teaches us about the worth of things...

I fell asleep when i fell on my bed when i got back from school. After a quiet silence, staring at the wall blankly, i went to go eat a banana. Yum-yum.

Rin: Hey Len...Do you know what Neru likes?

I turned around and saw Rin texting on her phone. I grabbed it out of her hands when she didn't expect it and quickly looked at the screen before she could snatch it back.

Neru: Hey

Rin: Hallo Neru-chan!!

Neru: It's my bday tomoz, wanna join me?

Rin: Of course!! Who else is coming?

Neru: I was hoping you, Miku and the rest. I don't mind if Len came as well...

Rin: Oh Len doesn't care about this girly stuff! He hates them!

Neru: Oh...ok then

Len: Hey! Rin you told Neru i didn't want to go to her party!

Rin shrugged as if she didn't know what i was talking about and began peeling a mandarin.

Rin: You said my slumber parties were girly, why would Neru's be any different?

I clenched onto her phone and was VERY tempted to pull her hair...but i didn't, sadly.

Len: Because Neru's more mature than you and c-cute...

I muttered the last part. Hope Rin didn't hear. I glanced at her and she was raising an eyebrow suspiciously. Please...please tell me you didn't hear anything...

Rin: You think she's...a COOT! That is so rude brother!

I sighed in relief. Thank goodness she's stupid...

•••Rin's POV•••
I lied because Len isn't sure about his feelings yet. I know he said cute and not coot but i'll give him time to think through his feelings. Teto likes him too and Neru is trying to forget about him because of what happened in the past. Drama is far beyond this love triangle but it's not like their love is the only thing blooming...love that's already sprouted are wilting as well...

*Neru jumps on Len and kisses him passionately*

*Len pushes Neru off stage and starts kissing her again*
