~14. Forgive Me Not~

•••Len's POV•••
I was asked to stand on stage, so I hesitantly got out of my seat and headed up the stage. I waited eagerly for Neru and it took a while but the girl I saw earlier stood up with a sigh. I almost gasped, realising she was Neru. No wonder why her hair-colour was so familiar...

Miku: Your managers will lead you to your dorm you two

Miku gave me a supporting thumbs up and it made me smile. Neru and I followed Haku and Dell behind the curtains and were walking in complete darkness.

Neru: Hi

I couldn't see anything but felt Neru hold my hand. I smiled at the feeling and felt myself blush.

Neru: I'm just making sure you don't get lost

Len: Really? I thought you just wanted to hold my hand

I could feel Neru shake her head and the feeling made me frown. I then slowly separated our intertwined hands but Neru immediately snatched them back. She squeezed them tight and suddenly hugged me tightly. I could faintly see the shape of her body but shortly closed my eyes in the warmth.

Len: N-Neru?

Neru: I just missed you...ok?

Before I could reply, a bright gleam of light hit my eyes and Haku & Dell were smirking at us.

We immediately broke apart and headed outside, welcomed by a bright sun. The breeze was soft and one black limo was parked in front of us.

Len: Where are we going?

Haku opened the door for us, the same time Dell sat in the driver's seat.

Haku: Your training quarters. A private beach-house along the coast

Neru headed in first and I got in soon after. Haku sat at the front and gave me a supporting thumbs up before closing the door.

The first few hours was quiet and Neru just plainly stared out the window.

I couldn't stop secretly glancing at her beautiful short hair.

Why did she cut her hair? Why couldn't she just grow it so she could be the same Neru we all knew? Well, she suits it either way.

Len: Why did you cut your hair?

Neru turned her golden gaze to me and faintly smiled.

Neru: Too much painful memories to remember when seeing the length of my hair

Then she turned back to her original position with hurt eyes.

I looked down at my feet and tried fighting back regretting tears. I want to touch her so bad...
I want to see the love she once felt for me 5 years ago in her eyes...

Len: How have you been?

Neru: Nothing much. How about you?

Neru didn't bother looking at me and I could feel something stab me inside.

Len: I've been writing songs

Neru: Like what?

Len: I wrote one called Left To Forget

Neru gently smiled but I could spot a single tear fall down her cheek.

Neru: Is it a love song?

I nodded.

Len: It's about someone I left behind years ago

Neru: I wrote a song too. It's called Why did you leave me. It's about someone I truly loved in the past, but he left me behind

I felt myself crying and I immediately turned away, apologising for my mixed emotions.

Neru then held my hand and gently turned my head to face her. She smiled at me but tears started to fall down her cheeks.

Neru: Do you ever regret leaving Tokyo?

I shook my head and could see sadness shadowing Neru's face.
I held her cheeks and gently pushed her against the car wall behind her.

Len: I regret leaving you
