~13. Left to Forget~

•••Neru's POV•••
It's been 5 years and I'm now 22. I graduated well and became a world-known Vocaloid. Rei still stood by my side while Rin caught up with her brother that lived somewhere in America. Forgot his name but she once told me that I forgot something very important. Would it help saying that I got involved in an accident on my way to a concert? Well, yeah, that actually happened and I ended up losing quite a bit of memory.
The doctors said, that unless something or someone that helps regain my forgotten memories comes along, I'll have to say goodbye to my unremembered past.
But I don't want that...

Neru: Where's our next concert again?

My manager turned her gaze from the window, to me. She had a strict face on but shortly smiled.

Haku: New York I think

Neru: You think?

Haku hummed a yes and continued on staring. I sighed tiredly and lied across my seat, trying to find a position to help me sleep comfortably.

Haku: You look really uncomfortable

I wrapped my jumper around me and turned my back to Haku, who was seating directly opposite to me across the limo.

Neru: I'm cold, ok?

Haku: You know, if you hadn't lost your memories you would've been sooooo worried

I raised an eyebrow suspiciously and rolled around with a confused face. Haku smirked.

Haku: Lets just say you'll reunite with a lot of people

Neru: Aren't I performing though?

Haku: Yeah, you are. But...

Neru: But~ what?

Haku: It's like a competition thing. You get randomly paired-up with a Vocaloid and you two have two weeks to prepare yourself for a performance together

I'm confused...

Neru: What about my concert? My solo concert?

Haku sighed and crossed both her arms and legs.

Haku: It's like a training camp, alright?

I was still confused but shook it off and accepted a confusing discovery. I sat up after a few minutes and went to go grab my phone.

Haku: Do you know someone called Kagamine Len?

Len: Please forgive me! Why forget me?
When I loved you all along!
Why'd you hurt me? Please oh baby!

Rin: That was AMAZING!! EEEEEEEK

I gave Rin a thankful smile and removed my headset before exiting the recording room. I just finished recording my new single: Left to Forget. It was inspired by a girl I really loved in the past but I left by mistake. I don't know where Neru is now but I sure hope I get to see her again...

Len: Thanks Rin. Do you wanna grab something to eat?

Rin nodded and started walking out of the studio, only to unintentionally bump into Rei.

I shot him a glare and he returned it without hesitation.

Len: Rei

Rei: Len

He then smiled down at Rin and winked at her. That bastard...

Rei: Hello Rin

Rin blushed profusely and I just rolled my eyes. Obviously she liked him but I'm completely against the thought of them being together. I will not be related to someone like him.

Rin: G-Good morning Rei-kun

After a long talk with Rei, Rin and I were finally continuing our walk out the building but got stopped by Dell. I groaned, turning to my manager in annoyance.

Len: If you're trying to scold me about the incident in the cafeteria, just saying! I did not piss the lunch lady because I stole her food! I pissed her off because i purposely made her wig fall on the the soup, OK?

Del sighed. I now realised that he was not going to talk about that. Great, I made him remember something I was surely going to pay for.

Dell: Anyway~ You're going into this competition in Idol Academy for Vocaloids. It's basically a random pick and you get paired up with an idol and get 2 weeks to prepare a concert

Len: What?

Rin: So cool! Is Neru going to be there!

Dell thought hard and I couldn't stop shaking. Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes!!

Dell: I think so--

Len: YES!!!

Dell: Just pack your things because we're going this afternoon

I gave Dell a thumbs up and ran up to my dorm.

After packing, Dell drove Rin and I to the academy. Though he didn't plan to bring Rin, she was too excited to come that he couldn't bring the courage to break her heart. Even though she's 22 she still acts like a child.

Dell: Here you two are. Want me to take you inside?

Len: I think we'll be good

Rin: I want to see Neru!

Dell: Haku is her manager and also my sister. She's in the main hall with the others

Len: Thanks

I closed the door after Rin shuffled out and we eagerly headed inside. My blood boiled with curiosity into what Neru looked like now.

Rin: I wonder what Neru-chan looks like now...

Len: Probably beautiful

Rin smiled at my opinion and sooner than we thought, we reached the main hall.

So many familiar people were there and I couldn't help but shuffle in happiness. I tried to look around for Neru but didn't see her.
The Vocaloid close to Neru's hair colour is a girl with hair up to a few inches past her shoulders. There was no side-ponytail or anything.

Rin: I wonder where she is...

Len: Come on. Let's just go and see who or partners are

Rin nodded and we took our seats and shortly saw someone stand on the stage. It looked like Miku but I couldn't be too sure.

Miku: Hello!! Thank you all for accepting our request on the Project Vocaloid Hearts!! It's what we'll be calling this very project now

Everyone clapped for Miku and waited for her to speak again.

Miku: *clears throat* now I will call out Te partners

It took a while until my name was called. Miku was with Kaito [surprise, surprise] Rin ended up with Rei [damn if] Seeu with Oliver; whoever they are and such & such...

Then, it was me.

Miku: Len Kagamine and...Neru Akita!

I don't want to disappoint my readers:| I hope you like this because I'm squeezing my brain rly hard to think of ideas that lead to my desired ending:) and forgot to edit...soz.
