~15. 14 Days in Summer - Day 1~

•••Neru's POV•••
When we reached the beach house Len and I immediately got changed and started composing our song.

Things were awkward since that moment in the car but it never really affected our time with our work.

We composed a beautiful song and our voices sounded great together.

It reminds me of my moments with Len...when we were still kids.

Len: No, you come out from behind me and lean the opposite way

We were in the middle of choreography and Len was teaching me new moves.

Neru: I-I don't know how to do that! You're a boy and boys have more advanced moves than girls!

Len sighed and just instructed me to come to him. I walked over to him and he turned my body so my back was against his chest. He held my waist and started doing the moves as he controlled my hands.

It went on for a while before I finally had the confidence in doing it myself. I managed to catch up to Len's pace and it was our first successful rehearsal and we're still on our first day!

I gave Len a hug for gratitude but our hug lasted longer than what they're meant to be.

Once we broke apart it grew awkward, until Len suggested on going to the beach.

I agreed and ran up to my room to go and change.

Since it was our own private property, Len and I were by ourselves on the beach. We were walking along the shore in silence as the sun began to set. Faint blue was corrupted by orange and pink; a perfect scenery for a date that only exists in dreams.

I wore a short yellow & white dress that matched my white bow over my head. The breeze was warm and if I was still 17 I would be all over this. But I'm not and it's been 5 years since then.

I heard Len sigh as he swung his arms for a stretch. Then he circled his neck and a few cracks followed it.

I blushed at the sight since the setting sun was behind him, making it a moment worth remembering.

Neru: Good practice today

Len smiled at me.

Len: It was. And I thought those moments would never come again

I smiled at him and came to a sudden halt. I looked at him for a little while in admiration. He matured but his personality never changed. He's Len...my childhood friend Len Kagamine...

I pulled him in for a hug and since he's taller than me I had to step on his feet to kiss his cheek. I didn't have to stand on him for too long since he wrapped my legs around his waist, carrying me the way a couple would only carry each other.

He swung me around and I just smiled at the realisation that Len and I were touching again. I hugged his neck tightly and smiled, just smiled.

After the beautiful moment we just spent, as the sun came to say goodbye, we sat in a hammock and stared out the moonlit sea. It glittered mystically with the water gently rippling as silvery fishes dived around.

Len swung the hammock gently as a cold breeze brushed pat us. A while ago, before we decided to end the day and sleep outside together, I grabbed a big blanket to sleep with just in case we grew cold. I wrapped both of us with it and it made the night much warmer than it already was.

Neru: I always wondered why you left me Len

It came out all of a sudden but I've waited for so many years that I couldn't control myself. Now that he's here...might as well ask.

Neru: Did I not work hard enough?

Len: Of course not

I looked down at my scarred arms but they were immediately covered when Len held it with his warm hands. He gently pulled my hand to his mouth and kissed it, but kept it close to his face a little while longer before he lied it back down.

His swinging slowed down but we hardly cared because we were both staring deeply into each other's eyes. I don't know why he was doing it but I knew; I wanted to see how he felt whenever he looked at me. They say eyes are the windows to one's soul. I'm sure I can find out...

Len: Each scar proved how much you loved me

I nodded in agreement.

Neru: Yes, it does. For 12 years I have trained to catch up to you; 7 for when you first broke my heart, and 5 for when you left me the second time

The sentence stopped Len from speaking and so I took advantage and continued with a sigh.

Neru: You were the love of my life Len. I-I just thought I was yours too
