Fate's Mistake

1 - Princess Training

"I've been training for a month now, it's exhausting." I groaned.

"Your Highness, Do you want to take a break?" Jan answered, Jan is Prince Joshua's butler, Jan is very loyal and hardworking, he is kind to everyone.

"Yes, Jan could you bring me some tea?" I asked politely.

"Of course, I will be back shortly."

Jan left the room and went to get some tea, after a while, he came back and offered the drink.

"Thanks, Jan!" I took a sip from the teacup and spoke out, "Jan, I'm lonely, I can't have any friends." I said jokingly.

"It's not that you aren't allowed, you just have to remember that you are the future princess of Dres Van and the King doesn't want any of the commoners taking advantage of your kindness and besides, you have to learn how to be a proper princess for the good of Dres Van." Jan replied with a sincere smile.

"I guess I can't do anything about it. Jan, after these studies, what do I have to do next?" I asked him, even though I've been attending the same schedule for the past month now, I still haven't memorized it yet, there were just so many trainings that it's hard to remember it all.

"That would be Your Dance lessons." Jan answered me with a smile, I was impressed that he remembered my schedule, well, he is the finest butler in Dres Van and he has been serving Prince Joshua ever since he was young.

After an hour, I finished up my studies and went to the hall where the dance lessons are taking place. I have been practicing a whole dance over and over again for the last two hours, I was tired because I haven't been getting any sleep lately.

Suddenly, while I was dancing, I began to feel dizzy and before I knew it, I collapsed. I woke up in my room and saw a familiar figure standing beside my bed, holding my hand.

"J-Joshua?" I asked.

"Why didn't you tell me that you needed to rest?" Joshua said with worry in his eyes.

"I....." before I could finish what I was about to say, Prince Joshua spoke out.

"I told you before not to work yourself too hard and now ... you collapsed." Prince Joshua sighed. All I could do was stare at him.

"Look, The King said that you should have a week off to rest and relax a bit." Joshua said.

"Really? Thank goodness, what about you?" Prince Joshua had a sad look on his face as I asked.

"I don't think I will be able to spend time with you, I still have a lot of work to do." he said.

"Oh.... That's okay I understand" I replied, "You probably stopped working, because you were worried about me." I added teasingly. Prince Joshua looked away, his face is red.

"hee hee You're blushing!" I pointed out with a teasing voice.

"No, I'm not!" Joshua replied, obviously he was embarrassed. "Anyway you should get some rest, go back to sleep." Prince Joshua said, giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Alright then, Goodnight!" I replied and gave him a kiss. I looked at him, as he left my room. I sighed.

'We can't even spend time together', I thought and gave another sigh before my consciousness slowly drifted away.

*Dream*

I was at the Port 'This place is so peaceful, the waves, the sea air, It's calming. The people here are nice, the smiles on their faces are contagious. I slowly walked trotted along the street 'Is that a ship I see?' I got closer to a huge ship 'Oh, someone is standing on the deck of ship, who is that?' I saw a man, yet, I don't know who he is. weird, he's wearing an eyepatch. lol.
