*Rei's POV*
Months had passed ever since I got back to Dres Van... I'm currently listening to my instructors complaints about me outside my room.
"This is too much!" I heard my etiqutte instructor yell to Jan.
"She never listens." my horse back riding teacher shouted.
"She is unteachable!" another one yelled.
"She can't lead a country, ever!"
"She will never be a princess!"
I listened silently as they shouted their insults to Jan, who is trying to calm them down.
"We had enough, we're going to stop." one of them said.
Well, no more instructors, no more lessons but what worried me the most is what will be The King and Queen's reaction to this?
I couldn't bear see their disappointed faces, even Joshua's... I let him down..
I really did it this time. I will never be accepted.
I sighed and laid on my bed, still wearing the big poofy dress I wore when I had dance lessons.
I just stared at the ceiling, lost in thought. I heard the voices died down as they left. Not long after, he door opened and Joshua came in.
"Rei..." He whispered as he sat down on my bed.
"I'm so sorry." I said as I teared up.
He gently hugged me which made me cry harder. I'm sorry for hurting you and loving somebody else...
The harder I think about what's going on in reality, the harder I cry as Joshua patted my back.
After what seemed like hours, I finally stopped crying and let go of Joshua. I looked at him apologeticaly as he smiled sadly at me.
"What if the King and Queen won't accept me? what if the people of Dres Van won't accept me?" I said as I wiped my tears away.
"I will never let that happen." he said with a serious gaze. 'I'll go talk to them right now."
I nodded as he left me in my room, he barely has time for me because of the work he needs to do for Dres Van... is this really the life I wanted?
I cried myself to sleep as I thought of the things I did wrong and the things I regret. I miss the Sirius. Captain's loud voice, Thomas' cute smile, Russell and Fuzzy's arguments, Nathan's cooking, Doc's comforting talks.
and Eduardo's presence... his teasing grin which always made me smile, his warm touch and his kind look. I miss it so bad...
----
I woke up early in the morning, but today, it's not because of my habit, it's because of the loud noise I'm hearing outside.
I yawned and stretched my arms, I quickly washed my face and change into the clothes I bought in the island that we Sirius went to before, it's better than wearing a dress.
I pressed my ear to the door and listened. I heard crashing, yelling, footsteps, swords clashing and gunshots. As much as I want to check it out, I just froze when I heard one of the men yell.
"Pirates have breached into the palace walls!" I heard a man yell as I heard heavy footsteps.
Pirates? could it be...?
