*Rei's POV*

I woke up in a familiar room, I looked beside me and saw Eduardo asleep while sitting on the chair with his arms cross. I smiled sadly as I realized we can never be. I'm engaged to Joshua... Eduardo and I will never be together.

I sat up and reached out and touched his hand, he slowly opened his eyes and gazed at me lovingly. I averted my eyes sadly, just looking at him makes me hurt as I know that I have to say goodbye to him someday.

"Eduardo..." I said dryly, my throat still hurts but atleast I can actually speak now, he looked at me completely shocked.

"Can you talk now?" he asked worriedly.

"Yes, but my throat hurts." I coughed.

"Why does the medicine works quickly?"

"Probably cuz I don't usually take medicine. I just need sleep most of the time and I was poor before I met Joshua so I don't have money for it." I replied in a blur.

Eduardo's usually cold gaze softened and turned into the most passionate eyes I have ever seen, he leaned to me and hugged me softly and whispered in my ear.

"I was worried about you..." he sighed. "I was seriously afraid that you were going to die."

"I can't die here." I chuckled and hugged him tightly as if I never want to let go. "Hey, did you remember the time when you asked me why I didn't take Captain's offer about staying on that island?" I slowly asked. Eduardo didn't say anything as he listened to every word I said.

"Because I didn't want to be apart from you..." I whispered softly.

"You asked me why I tried to save you?" I coughed as I grabbed his shirt.

"Because that time I knew I couldn't live without you... I just can't." Tears started to form in the corner of my eyes as I thought of leaving him because I had to return to Dres Van.

"Rei..." he whispered, I sense the surprize in his voice.

I hugged him and leaned on his chest, I listened to his heartbeat which calmed me down.

"I want to stay like this longer..." I said.

"I'll give you a recovery award." He said out of the blue.

"What?"

"You can do whatever you want." He blushed as he said so.

"Then, let me stay like this." I smiled softly. It feels safe like this and I feel content.

-Next day-

I must have fallen asleep last night, when i woke up, Eduardo was gone, but after a while, he came back with food and helped me so i could eat it.

Nathan came into the room and asked if I wanted some food, which I gladly accepted, since I'm still hungry. Nathan gave me some porridge so i could swallow it easily, but in just a few minutes, i finished it.

"Can i have another serving?" I asked. Why am i so hungry? I'm going to get fat.

"Sure, let me go get some. You still can't stand can ya?" Nathan asked.

"Nope."

"Is your fever down yet?" He asked and pinched my cheek.

"I dow know" I said as he pinched my cheeks. He stared at me blankly
